How To Make Perfect Hardboiled Eggs For Easter

The perfect boiled egg is actually not boiled at all. if you actually boil the egg it gives the yolk a more green color and makes the egg more rubbery.

Follow these steps for perfect boiled eggs:

1. To prevent the egg from cracking while cooking poke the larger end with a pin to let the air trapped inside escape.

2. Place the eggs in a deep saucepot in a single layer and cover with water by an inch.

3. Put the pot on the heat and bring the water just to a boil.

4. Immediately remove the pot from the heat and cover with a top.

5. Let the eggs sit for 15 minutes

6. Place the eggs in a bowl of ice water for 5 minutes and then refrigerate.

Now they are ready to be colored & dyed!!!!!!!!!!:agree

I can get the hard boiled down, but not the soft boiled.

I like to cook them just long enough so that the yolk is still runny, but the white is fully cooked. I either leave them in too long or the white is still runny :barfy Once the water is at boiling point and I place the egg in the pot (maybe my cooking method isn't right!), how long should I cook it? :hmmm Thanks!!

i could liveee on eggs...its so funny bc i always thought that they were disgusting until like two years ago...i had two egg salad sandwiches today...one for breakfast and one for lunch lolol...they make the bestttt eggs at this breakfast kiosk in my building
