New NCC Server

As you may have noticed in the past 5 months the site has been slow at times, mostly to do with vbulletin database. Vbulletin (software company of the forum) didn't warn me that if I upgrade to version 3.5 and I have over 1 a million posts that the perforamce will be sluggish. When I upgraded the software 6 months ago (from 3.0 to 3.5) it has been beyond sluggish during peak hours since we have 1.4 million posts, and had over 1.7 million, I deleted 300k to increase the performance.

Anyway I bought a new $8000.00 Dell Poweredge 2850 server, with all bells and whistles, will for sure solve the server issue that we been having. It will take me a few weeks to set up (Raid 10, Apache, Mysql, security, ect...) but should be done sometime the first half of June, then the site should be flying, plus I could install all the features I had installed here before like NCC store, NCC bookie, live streaming, ect... I couldn't install those hacks(features) since vbulletin told me that "the more hacks I have installed the slower the site will be", wish they told me this before the upgrade. With the new server I could have dozens of hacks and it wont effect the performance.

Today the server has been terrible, had to reboot it(as some of you noticed), cant wait to get the site of this thing.

It arrived yesterday but I havn't taken it out of the box yet, I think thats what I'll be working on the next few days, so no Pacha for me.

The faster the site, the more hacks I could put on, the more hacks (features) the happier the members, the happier the members the more they tell their friends to join, the more people join equals more $ comming in from advertising.

The $8,000 is an investment plus a tax write.

Look to hook up with internet radio station like Yahoo Launch Cast or other Internet Radio Stations (With no comercial) will cost you about the same.
So since we all like family members here why not we all pay $10.00 a month fee.

Yes, I'm agree with that.
Like all of those Internet Radio Station they all charge for premium service and free for the basic service. And some of tthe DJs webside that have stream broadcast & download eventhough they are free, but they asked their fan to make voluntary donation.

Dmitry you put a lot of your times, energy and money for all of us, so we should give something back to you for our appreciation.
