Japan w/ Boris review + pics by Fast!

ok I am going to try and keep it short and sweet cuase noone likes reading novels....you can ask any questions you want ...


flight wasn't that bad, I took a full xannie and slept thru the entire flight. woke up to eat for a second and right back to bed,

first person we meet after promoter when we get off plane is TIMMY REGISFORD, veteran dj of Shelter fame, waiting for a ride, chatted for a hot sec, then went on our way

TOKYO

Tokyo is a beautiful city, very clean , but just like movies, tons of people and bikes , we were met by the promoter / Dj and our tour guide DJ KOUTAROU ( www.djkoutarou-a.com (http://www.djkoutarou-a.com/) ) , guy was the best , spoke good english so that helped tremendously to translate,

our hotel was nice, my room was a pod, they have very tight quarters, you cant even have 3 people chill in the room it is too crowded, kinda like a fancy jail cell ...lol ....Boris was the same I think ..

went to eat at some sushi place, I don't eat many things so the whole tripo was a bit of tourture on me in that aspect, but made the best of it, while these guys pumped raw fish into themselves, ..

did lots of walking around for the 2 days there, and shopping, that whole nike airmax thing everyone thinks, is bullshit, they had nothing you cant get over here,

people are great, very nice and respectful, and the women have a great fashion sense, I can see it being a great place for you ladies to go shopping, lots of stores, for guys it was just eh,...nothing special .

Friday night Boris spin at this club WAREHOUSE, Dj Koutarou opened up for Boris and guys has a great sound, he is very well known out there and knows all the big dj's, had many sign his wall in his studio built in his apt, (pics will follow) ,...room packed out at about 1 am , and Boris did his thing , have some great videos of crowd and shit and will try to get it up asap ...

next day walked aroudn some more then jumped the BULLET TRAIN to OSAKA ..


OSAKA

OSAKA is the smaller city, it is like going from New York to Boston , but cool city nonetheless, we got there pretty late so we went right to hotel and slept for a bit more,

our hotel was the hotel TRUSTY .renamed by me THE HOTEL TRUST US ,,,,,

the rooms were much bigger, and nicer, but not english friendly at all, noone even at front desk spoke english when we arrived, thank god for the other promoter who picked us up and was our guide.....

the toilet had a remote control next to it, and I saw a button that said "shower" so I figured you can turn on the shower from there, I hit the button and looked left, and hear a whuuuuuuur sound, so I think "hey the shower is turning on" then squirt, water shoots out of this little arm that came out the badai and shoots me in the chest....lolol I laughed my ass off ( to myself like a lunatic) then jumped in the shower, cause I was freaked that it shot out of toilet...lol

after we woke up , went to eat, this time finally at a bbq chicken type sushi house, so I was able to enjoy most everything the guy ordered, ( No english menu ) , but by this time I was so fed up , I just told him str8 up what I wanted, chicken and rice, nothing fancy ..lol


the gig was at a restaurant / lounge called CALIGUA, very very nice place, had a great sound system , they did not do much of a crowd, but Boris had the few people there out on the dance floor, so night was not a total bust, OSAKA only has three real good clubs in it, and apprently this was not one of them ...lol ......but already they are having us back in Sept for a date in the main one, so looking forward to it...


all in all , it was a great experience and I am glad that I got to go ......

was great to see fans half way across the world, and meet all the cool people over there, we plan on booking DJ KOUTAROU over here in the stated when he vistis in agusut, and going to show these guys partying like they have never seen before.

I expected alot more int he sneakers part, we went to voer 20 stores, and I found shit, that was mine and boris mission, and we had a local guy with us who knew all the hot spots..


for dj's , they sell shit lods of vinyl still , you would think not since they have all fancy technology, but they had at least 7 records stores that I saw , within walking distance
