I think I am a little obsessed with the movie....

after seeing it I was lil let down... crticis said it was one of the scariest movies in recent time... but I wasnt scared... then I thought about it... and yes I was...

that movie made me think... and the more I thought about it... the more stuff became apparent.... it wasnt about just a simple shock... or some guy in mask jumping out of the tree and chopping someones head off... it really made me think and got in my head...

so I did a lil a reseach yesterday and there seems to be a small cult following... with theories and all... kinda interesting...

I think I want to see the japanese version as well....

watch out for:

I agree ... I was was a bit disappointed, but I was a little freaked because it was so strange and I didn't really understand the point of it. It also didn't help that since our DVD player is connected through the VCR, the picture on the TV when DVDs are played pulsates. The brightness goes from dark to normal to bright and back.

I searched for some articles that could make some sense of the movie and they gave me a new perspective from which I could wrap my head around the movie; though, that little movie in the link is still disturbing.

What websites did you find/recommend?

that's macrovision to keep people from copying dvds to vhs...any reason you're not connecting the dvd player straight to the tv? They sell rf adapters for older tvs...just curious...(btw, they do sell video clarifiers that do eliminate the macrovision 'noise' in case you do wanna copy dvds ;) )

I never considered copy-protection to be the cause. The reason we connect through the VCR is the lack of the proper inputs (I don't the proper name but the three cables in red, white, and yellow) and never bothered to buy an adapter (if there is one). The TV only has an input for coaxial cable.

there is an adapter..
You need an RF modulator to fix that... I just bought a new tv and dont use mine anymore so if you want it it's yours... that bright/dark shit is annoying

LOL me too! Omg we actually agree on something! Anyway, up until the ending, the movie seemed somewhat scary and intriguing because I expected a really intelligent ending, and what I got was boring and cheezy. Sorry, but I give it two thumbs down.:thumbsdow :thumbsdow
