i am PETRIFIED of the dentist. i dont know why..i just am. i have always been. the smell aalone of a dentist office makes me break out in hives. the sound of the drill gives me goosebumps. i have passed out before in the dentist office...(so embarrassing). now i take a xanax before i go. probably not the smartest thing...but it makes me feel a lil better

i had 6 cavities done within a few weeks and it was a lovely experience.

well except for one where i almost ripped the bears head off because of the pain.

i have a huge hole in one of my back teeth for the last year and refuse to get it fixed. Even when i had to get my front tooth redone ( got with a glass at work) they wanted to fix it and i said no because of that fucking drill :disgusted

i recently just switched to one closer to my job--let me tell u this mofo pumped this shit up so high that my eyes were rolling to the back of my head and he head to turn it down lol

I don't mind the drill, actually, it the film those hard plastic slides they put in your mouth to take pics, that I hate. I only had 2 cavities ever, so the drill was never much of an issue. That big ass novicaine needle was scary the first time I saw it. Looks like that big needle in the cartoons :scared

I had em done two at a time and the the first two were mad painful but the 2nd two were pretty painless i remember i went shopping or something like that the same night, ha.

I am scared and have to get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled..... all four impacted....

When I was about 12 or 13 I got seven teeth pulled out at once. 4 molars, and the other 3 were baby teeth impacted UNDER the molars. (MY mouth was too small to fit all my teeth without crowding)

It was terrible, I had to get it done in the hospital because it was surgery. I had to eat Jello, soup, pasta and pudding for 30 days... IT SUCKED! But, I no longer fear the dentist cause I know it will never come close to being that painful again.

the dentist i work for does that

it makes u focus on that rather then thinking about the injection. we also use a topical solution to pre numb the area before really making numb.

or they will shake the cheek with a mirror to confuze the nerves.

we use sweet air...and if its a long appt. we have headphones or if ur that bad, we have these glasses that play movies in them. so u can watch as u get u work done. its pretty nice.

i have never once felt a shot from my doctor...the sound of the drill is annoying but u can listen to music.

or sometimes i dont even use the drill. if the cavity is small enough ask them if they do air abbrasion. its a mix of sand air and water...so u dont havce to drill or be numb. or they could use a laser...but the popping sound is annoying too.

HAHAHA my dentist uses laughing gas. Whenever they have gave it to me i tell them crank that shit up stuff does wonders. Then i start making fun of my dentist cause he looks like Joe Pesci. And i always call him Nikki from Casino.
