i went to okemo sunday it was so fuking boring up there.... all these mts suck except killington... i mean hunter is ok, if u can ski hunter u can ski anywhere i think loll survival on ice while ppl trying knock you out left and right haha

maria you should go chekc out haystack near mount snow, a mount snow lift ticket is good there. its not that big but its closed all week only open sat and sun so the conditions are usually nice and the runs are nice and old school, geared toward skiers. and also mad river glen, ski it if you can is their slogan. no snowboards there either so i have neevr seen it but its supposed ot be prtety great.

i never been to elk but I was talking to a real serious skier (guy does heli skiiing and shit 13k altitude fresh powder runs in CO) the other day and he said its the best mountain on the east outside of VT and Maine. it's about 2 hours from the city, near scranton. it's the highest mountain in pa, and from what i understand, while it doesnt have the altitude, the runs are up to par with vermont. it was voted top 5 mountains on the east. the trails look pretty good. as a boarder i dont really do the diamonds cuz I dont like moguls and id rather work nice turns and maybe hit some jumps and it looks like theres a few nice long blues there. also it is pretty far off the beaten path so i dont think it gets very crowded.
honestly i have no interest in going to hunter, it is way too packed and full of douchebags for the most part just looking to party and fit some skiing in.

haha i'll take some runs with you. i just dont do bumps (thats sounds funny and like a lie) you should see the jumps they put in at hunter. i dont know if theye were just there for a competition or if they are there for good. they had some huge jumps. i dont jump off anything really i should start. maybe friday i will while no one is there. usualy i bomb it out and try to get in as many runs as possible. also i'm usualy there with all skiiers so i have to keep up LOL

i only know one snowboarder who doesnt mind moguls but he also lived outwest for years and learned how to ride them. typically moguls and snowboards dont go together at all. most snowboarders do go for jumps, but liek i said most of my friends are skiiers so i nevre spent time in the park areas. i keep saying i'm going to get on jumps but i nevre do. i guess i just dont want to go back to falling and hurting myself again which goes along with jumping off things. LOL im gonna build abalance board for the condo though so i can get my legs used to landing etc ... maybe friday when the mountain is quiet i will hit some jumps, i will be with all snowboarders that day too. i'll let you know how it goes LOL
