over the past year or so...

I have seen a few djs have laptops in their booths... I always thought it was them throwing some of their own samples in on the fly...

who knows...

This just came out in May, I believe...

When I heard about it I couldnt believe it...

You play the files from your computer and you get the feel of using vinyl...
This is good for all the MP3 whores...lol
It makes it look like they are using vinyl, when they aren't...

It comes with 2 blank records...

I know someone that used it and he likes it ;)

hey if u can rock the floor with it... who cares...

just like those guys in the subways who play on buckets, cans and whatever they get their hands on... they tear it up...

I heard of the Final Scratch a few months ago... I didnt know if it would catch on... WHO KNOWS... MAYBE IT WILL...

the madness, what is technology coming too, next thing you know we'll be mixing with verbal commands, or no d.j. will be necessary, it will be dj technic or dj numark, i rathers stick to the old school way, requires more skill which is better, although this program is def. good when you remix or produce something, it saves the money in order to turn it to acetate, and the space saving of carrying vinyls.

I'm confused here.... This didn't just come out... (it just came out for Macs if that's what you guys meant) Wink and Hawtin have been using this for a while though... It's actually really phat and will probably be the future... You still spin like it's vinyl which is key, but you don't have to lug around crates of records... I watched Wink use it up close. It's so sick because the sound wave is on the screen and as you cue up the file with the special vinyl record you see the wave on the display move as well.

It was 1200 when it came out now it's 600 I think... If you look at what happened at imac the last couple of months it's not hard to see that the music industry is trying to cater to the mp3 users just look at what IMAC is doing selling mp3's for a buck..
Now imagine going to Satellite records and downloading the latest tune to your computer and DJ can use final scratch to bump at venues.. When they make system for reg PC I will def download some music just hope the newest hits they have under house if the category exists isn't sandstorm from derude:silly

BWAH HAHAHA
funny funny...

i believe the discussion you and I had months ago was that u said this final scratch is the FUTURE OF DJING... or whatever... and that eventually it will be the norm or standard... or whatever u said...

and I believe my reply was vinyl will never die... other ways of playing the music and mixing it will come along... and maybe co exist with vinyl (ex: cds)... but vinyl in my opinion will always stick around...
