A huge trend I noticed in SoBe was false eyelashes and/or eyelash extensions.

Although I love beefed up lashes, some of these girls got eyelash extensions that are so long they graze both the upper and lower eye when blinking :yourcrazy and end up looking like trannies.

my advice...if and when you get the eyelash extensions or apply false lashes, do a test...if they are rubbing on your upper eye when blinking trim them up a tad, avoid the tranny look :agree There is a thin line between fabulous and trannyish. I hardly EVER follow any makeup or beauty "rules" but this is one that is just a necessity lol

nothing irks me more than heavy ass hell falsies during the day. and i mean like tarantula lashes. that's not necessary. :keke

funny you say this...i just went to Shecky's Girls Night Out last wk & they had a booth, where you could get this done. some of the styles were a little much & super duper long. i saw a lot of girls with a rinestone style eyelash as well.

looks a little ridiculous if you ask me.

I agree...

I wear my falsies from time to time but no way are they so long they are touching my eyebrows. Plus, when I wear them I feel like wearing heavy eye-makeup makes it look trannyish as well so I go lighter than I usually would.

I wantto get this done. I found a place that does it for 50 bucks and I heard they re actually good.

I have some questions. How long does it stay on? Is this gonna harm my real lashes?

And another one, I color my hair black, but my lashes are on the lighter side. If I put on these darl lash extensions will it look weird with my light ones underneath them. Will it be noticeable???

50 bucks?! Be wary of cheap prices, you get what you pay for. :agree

They usually last about a month if you wear no mascara and wash your face carefully, AVOID any rubbing of the eyes...most people get touch ups because they start to fall out in a couple of weeks
Any creams, eye makeup removers, lotions, or cleansers containing oils can loosen the bond of the lash extensions. Also avoid eye creams anywhere near the lash line area, most will cause harm to those pricey babies and they will fall out. Make sure they are NOT produced in Asia, those are very low quality lashes and arent as curled or sturdy...and i'd get them dark, the point of them is to darken and beef up the area, you dont need mascara

ehh I dunno I am wary of this trend.... thought about it at one point but frankly I :heart my real lashes and I find it hard to believe that this couldn't end up harming your natural lashes..
imo a few coats of a good mascara do the job just as well :shrugger

You can get false lashes applied for a special occasion :agree
Much less costly and they will come off at the end of the day/night when you wash your face. I've done it for lots of girls and they love it...I usually use the clumps because they look much more natural than the strip

So what would be a regular price?? And thanks for the info!!

Btw some of you are wary of this and don't really see a need for it. But I think its awesome for the summer, don't need much make up with it. Will look great on the beach. Well and also for me it makes lots of sense cause I m light and color my hair dark. So this will make it look much more natural,

I loved the way mine looked but when it came time to take them out...OUCH! I was a little OCD with mine though and once one fell out and left a space, I strated ripping the other ones off when they weren't ready to come out. I wound up ripping 1/2 my eyelashes off. :shuffle At least they grew in 10 x nicer...thats always a plus :chuckle
