Keanu Spends $4.8 Million on Hospital for Dying Sister


Caring movie star Keanu Reeves has spent $4.8 million converting a Los Angeles mansion into a custom built hospital for his dying sister.

The Matrix Reloaded star will move sister Kim, 37, into the luxury house and hire top doctors to look after her around the clock.

Kim - who has been suffering from the killer disease for 10 years - will be the only patient in the hospital, which has a 50 foot "infinity" pool and incredible views overlooking Hollywood.

A source says, "Keanu isn't sparing any expense for Kim's leukaemia treatment.

"He's using his millions to make his house a sanctuary in an attempt to give her the best treatment and care.

"But, if she's facing her final years, Keanu wants to make them the happiest they can be. Kim means everything to him."

Keanu, 38, has earned at least $72 million from the two Matrix sequels, the second of which - The Matrix Revolutions - is set for release in November.

There are millions of people with cancer around the world. You obviously cant help everyone. You help those that are closest to you. He loves his sister and he is trying to do everything in his power to help her.

So that doesnt make you a sweet person. He helped her because she is his sister. Let me rephrase. Will he ever donate that much money to a cancer fund. I think not. Hes doing whats right, not because hes sweet.

How do you know he doesnt donate to cancer funds? Are you his bookkeeper? I'm sure he donates to cancer funds for the very reason that his sister has cancer! There are other celebrities that have sick family, and they dont go all out for them.

Keanu is doing this for his sister because he truly loves and cares about her. Like Bee said, there are plenty of celebrities with relatives who have fatal diseases and not doing something as radical as Keanu. Who knows if he donates to charities or whatever. Who cares? All I know is that he is an extremely loving person to do that for his sister.

Think of it this way....if you heard this story about a husband doing this for his wife, would you say he's not so sweet because he should be donating to cancer research instead? I think not. For once, my pessimist self is going to say....try to look at the glass half-full.

who the fuck said he was trying to keep her alive in pain? his sister is dying and rather her spend he last days in some LA hospital... he built her one. and thats fuckin awesome.
