sucks that Nobu's name is not what is used to be. I mean I am all for expansion and shit but if I ever had a place that was awesome and exclusive and a place people really wanted to go, and business was great and decided to open up other places, I would change names and even concepts. Opening duplicates of high-end, expensive places like Nobu I think takes away from the original one and in the end makes it more of a tourist type place. It would be like opening a wd~50 in Chicago and LA. Or Grant Achatz opening an Alinea in NY and then Miami.

I'm making my mother a lunch for a picnic at a tropical garden.

I chose:

Shrimp and Asparagus Dip
Mini Turkey Burgers on Baguette
Cherry & Chicken Salad on a bed of mixed greens & salad veggies
Mini Cheescakes (This is a maybe...)

yes i'm russian. riviera sounds like a great idea. i was also thinking of thai food bec she never tried it. Particularly SONG, in park slope, heard its very good. But turkish food sounds interesting, maybe I'll check out MY MOONS.

I went to Song...I thought it was a little overrated...it has been getting great reviews, but you can definitely get better Thai...

You can Try Savoia if you are looking in that area, that is an Italian Place
