this is the closest i found to the audio clip i heard..

Be seated.

Now I want you all to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it, by making some other poor bastard die for HIS country.

Men - All this stuff you heard about America not wanting to fight, wanting to stay out of the war, is a lot of horse dung. Americans traditionally love to fight. All REAL Americans LOVE the sting of battle. When you were kids you all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, the big league ball players, the toughest boxers.. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser.
Americans play to win all the time.
Now I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That's why Americans have never lost, and will NEVER lose a war! Because the very thought of losing is hateful to Americans.

Now ---> An army is a team. It lives, eats and fights as a team. This individual stuff is a bunch of crap. The billius bastards who wrote that stuff about individuality for the Saturday Evening Post don't know anything about real battle than they know about fornicating.

Now we have the finest food + equipment, the best spirit and the best men in the world. You know, my God, I actually pity those poor bastards we're going up against. God I do! We're not just going to shoot the bastards we're going to cut out their living guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks. We're going to murder those lousy, hun bastards by the bushel.

Now some of you boys I know are wondering whether you'll chicken out under fire - don't worry about it. Now I can assure you that you will all do your duty. These barbarians are the enemy. Wade into them! Spill THEIR blood! Shoot them in the belly! When you put your hand in a bunch of goo that just a moment ago was your best friends face, you'll know what to do.

Now, there's another thing I want you to remember. I don't wanna get any messages saying that we are holding our position. We're not holding our position. We're not holding anything. Let the hun do that! We are advancing constantly and are not interested in holding anything except the enemy. We're going to hold on to him by the nose and we're going to kick him in the ass. We're gonna kick the hell out of him all the time, and we're gonna go through him like crap through a goose.
Alright now you sons of bitches, you know how I feel. I will be proud to lead you wonderful guys into battle any time, any place.

And now the end is here, and so I face the final curtain. My friend, I'll say it clear, I'll state my case, of which I'm certain. I've lived a life that's full, I've travelled each and every highway. And more, than this I did it - My Way.

Regrets, I've had a few. But then again - too few to mention. I did what I had to do + saw it through without exemption. I planned each charted course each careful step along the by-way. And more, much more than this. I did it My Way.

Yes there were times, I'm sure you knew, when I bit off more then I could chew. But through it all - when there was doubt - I ate it up + spit it out. I faced it all, and I stood tall, and I did it - My Way.

I've loved, I laughed + cried. I've had my fill, my share of losing. And now - as tears subside - I find it all so amusing. To think I did all that I say not in a shy way. Oh no, Oh, no not me. I did it My Way.

For what is man? What has he got? If not himself, then he has naught. To say the things, he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels.

The record shows, I took the blows, and I DID IT MY WAY.
