how is everyones summer workouts going?
i train year round, and when the summer comes i still go to the gym, i just dont spend nearly as much time in there as i do in the winter
it also might have something to do with the fact tha ti am comfortable where i am
dont get me wrong i am still there 4-5 times a week, i have just cut back on my workouts

workouts been going great. i started going during my lunch break so thats 1 real intense hour of lifting.
so far so good, poundages are all increasing and body weight is staying the same, but getting slightly leaner.

for some reason i get leaner in the summer as well :hmmm
that would be nice to go on my lunch, but i dont think i would get as good of a workout out in

i used to think that same way, but it really forces me to work hard, shorter rests and such and no bullshitting/talking.
its like being in jail :chuckle

everyone does.
its a fact that you loose a few pounds in the summer,
usually cause our appetites aren't the same as the cold weather, we drink more fluids
and also the raise in tempurature burns a touch more calories.

summer workouts are pretty much the same as winter ones, i just try to get to the gym earlier in the summer. this way i get it over with and can be in the nice weather. but i do hear you my motivation is less, it don't help that everyone wants to come to the gym in the summer and breath in all the damn oxygen too. so many summer warriors its gross. and you can spot them by thier non existing overly big made up lats that they walk around with. why people need to walk around liek a bat with open wings is beyond me. i mean if you got yates back thats one thing but if your back looks like a butterball turkey....stop it. lol

Unfortunately, not that great :licktear
I've been so busy with work and traveling that I've slipped a bit since Memorial Day...put on at least 5-6 lbs and def look more bloated...I can totally feel it in my clothes
I'm starting it up again this week and hopefully can get back where I was...joined a new gym so that's some motivation

i've read that we should eat lots more fresh fruits and less starches during the summer.

I tend to drink more in the summer, therefore being hungover more, therefore getting to the gym less, therefore taking in more empty calories.

My summer workout is doing ok. I was doing really good for about 5 weeks. Then got off track with the gym the past 2 weeks so now I have to get back on track. But since I've started weight training, my pants have gotten baggier around my legs & waist but my weight has stayed the same. My arms aren't improving that fast though :( But this is the best shape I've been in a couple years so I'm not gonna complain.

sometimes you do a "swap" you add some muscle and take away some fat, but scale weight stays the same. also cause muscle weighs more than fat so its more dense (compact). don't even stress the scale, its a number and it fluctuates everyday, just go by how you look and feel. good luck
