Hair Preference.....

On your head that is, because there should be no question about hair ANYWHERE else cuz that's just a definite no no. It's just that simple. Anyway....

So guys...are you into the whole "long hair on girls" scene or does it just depend? If you are, what is the reason? I'm assuming it's just more feminine, at least on most girls.

Girls...those of you that have long hair, would you cut it off?

I ask this question because I'm needing a change, big time, and I'm thinking I might just wack mine off. Upside: With the weather being so humid, it's less hair to dry. Downside: Less hair to have pulled in the heat of the moment :flickTong

as long as you don't go "boy-cut" short, you shoudl stilll have hair to pull in the "heat of the moment"

Why don't you just dye it a different color, or highlight it, etc..

I always had long hair until I chopped it all off for a bob the end of my senior year. I dont think short hair works for me and I'm never cutting it again...I loves me my long hair :)

Why don't you just dye it a different color, or highlight it, etc..

Well..I think cutting just a little off or in a bob or something just makes it at that awkward length. The length that you hate when it's growing out from being short! We'll see how daring I get.

I can't lie, I love my hair long, but, it's way too long now. Maybe I'll take your advice on the color. We'll see.

i think it depends on the girl.....some girls look sooo hot with short short hair whereas others just don't pull it off quite as well.
for me? i have had everything from shorter-than-a-boy hair to down-to-my-tush long hair. :) my hair grows slower than slow so i only cut it like 2x/year.

how long is ur mane? all one length? into bangs maybe? layers? sometimes a different shape will make a huge difference if ur apprehensive bout losing too much length. show us a pic and i'll try to help! :fish

Right now it's about 3 inches above my waste...give or take. It just kind of hangs...I have long layers..probably too long right now. I found a picture of this girl in a VS mag and LOVED her hair. It looked more layered. When I showed my girls...they all looked and said "her hair already looks like yours!". I've done the bangs thing...not good.

I'll try to dig up a recent pic that shows the length.

get dat pic! there's lots of options without losing all ur length :) of course there is nada wrong with chopping it off too! straight hair allows u even more options(i think so at least)......funky chunky layers, etc...

i always change my hair i just get bored with my self....fuk it its hair it grows back....i cut my hair "dike" short over the summer....now i have blue hair..... GO FOR IT!!!

This was from last weekend...you can't really see the length, but, you can get an idea. It's just "there"....no style!!

Honestly.. I think you have really nice hair.. and even though you might think it just hangs.. i think it looks great!! Your face is small so that long hair looks great on you. Maybe just try like 2-4 inches off.. doesn't look like a short haircut would flatter you that much..

at the moment I have longish black hair with very chunky blonde highlights on top only, and a few blue extensions here and there...i LOVED short hair, and wore it well too! I miss it :(

i will probably go really dark soon..i have had every hair color imaginable EXCEPT red..its too hard to maintain and fades fast

i say try on wigs before you do anything major :teeth

more face-framing layers! :) i wouldn't take too much length off but a few chunky face-framers would do u nifty i think.
if u wanna do something with the color.....maybe tone it down a smidge? ur hair is really nice tho! how bout anti-highlights? like darker blond/brown chunks randomly?

Well......my hair looks a lot blonder in pics than it is in real life. When i get it highlighted, I actually leave the underneath dark which gives it depth so it doesn't get TOO blonde. I think you guys convinced me to just layer it up a bit.

I agree, maybe some more layers and take a little off the end.... maybe do some caramel highlights, but not on crown, around the middle of your head.... this way, all you see is some caramel highlights underneath and not all over the place... I was thinking of doing something like this to my own hair in the fall, just to be different....
