I started with vinyl....
I started with shitty gemini xl500's THE WORST! but when I got my first set of 1200's I was mixing like a jedi master....
I actually just got into cd's to tell ya the truth I'm not really feeling cd's... I love actually touching the vinyl and going to the record store and "digging" and finding that gem you keep to yourself.
dont make my mistake... make sure you buy the best decks (1200's) dont by cheap decks cause once you get 12's ya gotta re-learn the pitch again... start with the best decks,,,
if ya need any help aim BECK911
