Kid ... Romeo ... anyone? Can someone verify this info
It just started, but I have pain on the bottom of my left foot from running - I think. I looked it up on Runnersworld.com and thought it might be that heel injury (some crazy name I can't remember)
It had some suggestions to take care of it such as stretching the tendons that connect the heel to the toes ... that's apparetnly where the injury is. It's supposedly inflamation or even spurs that cause the pain.
Kid - you were a runner - ever get this? if yes what did you do? did you stop running for a while - how long? Any other ideas
I don't want to stop running - I can't afford to stop .... help!
thanks in advance

scary.. i had bones spurs in high school and had to get them removed.. on EACH heal.. they actually had to move my achilles and then screw it back into place.. i couldn't run for like 6-7 months.. sucked bad.. hope that's not what you have!

yeah I read about some runner's who had it that bad. I don't have it that bad - the pain is actually manageable. It's probably just strained, but it sucks because when I run obviously it kicks in and gets more painful.
I've only run 1x in almost 10 days - this SUCKS! lol help!

yeah it's called "plantar fasciitis" ... long band of fibers that connect the heal to the toes. The build up of constant strain from each step on the bottom of the foot ... causes the pain.
that's what I have ... not sure if that's what you have, but it sounds like the beginning of it.
check out runnersworld.com .... gives strecthes to do to help ease the pain
fuckin sucks

yeah I'm about the same ... 20-25 miles per week. My knees are fine - get a little crackly from time to time - lol - but they're ok.
It's the fuckin bottom of my foot ... I had to take a week off and now it feels better so I'm gonna run tonight.
