You think JP has a set list? I doubt it.... The only thing he prolly plans out are the fancy mixes(thats when he does them)

dont be surprised a lot of dj's do have a current list just to make it a bit simpler to mix and ripp it better, but mainly just to record a cd or so, but otherwise they just throw what they're feeling, thats why its better to become well acquainted with your music so you know exacly what to throw out there.

When I do my streams I play as I go...

but thats a lil different cuz even though its live you dont have a crowd in front of you... which plays a huge part in track selection (for me atleast)...

Yea when I do my live shows, I play what I feel and what I want... But when ur playing in front of a crowd, its a hole diffrent ball game...

Here's my advice for whatever it's worth. Have a lot of hot shit ready, I mean a lot. If I'm doing a two hour set I make sure my record case has that new vynil smell but don't discard those "oldies but goodies". And I have to strongly agree with JohnnyP, Louie Corrales and Mike direct it is very different when u play for a crowd rather than on the internet.

I usually go out with 5 cases, a bag (mostly new shit) and a CD book..... I'm not an "underground" DJ so I play to the crowd, which requires allot of different types of music...

I used to do a 2 hr "underground" radio show where I played whatever I wanted... For that I packed a case of favorites, new stuff and my CD book; I also changed it every week...

So I guess that was planned...

It all depends on the crowd...

A good DJ keeps the dance floor packed, so It all depends on what the crowd is feeling.

I am through, trying to educate these people now a days...

I will never play the same set, and generally don't know what I'm going to play... Of course there are always new and hot songs that I'm just dying to ROCK, but all the in between stuff sort of just comes to me...
