Its based on a true story, the Doctor tell his wife and children theyre going to go Iran for vacation and then forces her and the children to stay there which is applicable by law in that country, and they lose theyre freedom and rights. The story later gets into how the wife (played to a tee by Sally Field) tries to escape out of the country with her daughter while risking her life and trusting strangers.
I thought it was a great movie, its a very unique perspective into the world of Marriage Laws in parts of the Middle East.

Did the movie seem like it was made before or after she started going Sex and the City? Also, did she do a good job at playing a nut? Can you remember scenes in the movie where she was acting nutty?

it was pre-stc and she did a fabbbbbb job... there was this one scene that the police and child services were at her door and she grabbed the kids all fucked up and sat hiding on the floor while they all cried and her eldest daughter was all mature about (10ish) the situation she knew and said u need help.:shuffle

What was wrong with her, exactly? Do you remember? Was she stressed out? Did she have some mental disease?
