I went on the atkins diet about 3 months ago and I lost 30 lbs in a month and a half... Very good... But then I started upping the carbs a lil, started cheating here and there and I end up loosing another 10lbs! so now im 150 lbs... WTF is up with me?

Mike by how much did you up your carbs? your body is probally still burning fat for energy even though up upped your carbs and hve you been eating complex carbs or processed carbs? cause if you up your carb intake with complex carbs you will stay very lean

Well I still drink diet soda NO MATTER WHAT, when im at work Ill eat a hero,a slice of pizza , but I balance myself out through the day... At home I usualy eat rite, I have the 3 carb bread here and everything, lol oh and I eat fruits too, but not to carby ones...
Originaly I was about 198 lbs then after a month after being strict on the diet I went down to 168 and now im 150...

Are you working out? thats alot of weight you lost bro but then again it depends on your height if your 5"4 150 aint bad but if your 5"11 its not good and if your eating pizza and heros you should put on weight those are processed bleached carbs

Na i havent worked out for 2 months, im about to get back to it as soon as the summer ends... I dont eat heros everyday, but once in awhile I do, same goes for pizza as well.... Yesterday I was at a party and I aite like an animal, but I dont usualy do that either.... I eat more protien then I do carbs still....

I went up to 186 last week and I started to eat even more dirtier, and now I am 178...go figuer that one out.
I also went back on weight gainer shakes at night...(980 cal per shake).

Mike did you realize any loss of muscle / strength? I am on Atkins now for about 2 weeks and lost a few pounds but I don't wanna lose any muscle and look like a heroin addict.

Their is a fine line that you have to walk to limit muscle loss. If you are inactive then it shouldn't be a major promblem but rememebr dieting with out pharmacuticals will result in some muscle loss. If you are active then supplments like l- glutamine and BCAA'S will help fight going catabolic (eating muscle for energy) If you plan on running then a low heart rate is desire like 60-65% max your cardio equipment at your gym should have handles to measure the heart rate. I know this from experience I would diet on low carbs and then run at a high heart rate I got thin but skinny thin not good.

dudes - you guys probably sped up your metabolism in the process and now it's off and running. So even if you are taking in more it's just getting burned right off.
Try eating only 2 huge meals a day instead of 4 smaller meals and snacks. Every time you eat it speeds up your metabolism.
keep eating those carbs ... you'll get the weight back
