:yipee Washington is preparing for another election. The country which is facing many challenges of the present generation is seeking a government which is responsive and efficient. There is a dire need to make some policy changes that can usher in a new era. These policy changes need to be directed at issues confronting the country which include illegal immigrants, national security, high taxes on the citizens, wasteful spending, global terrorism etc.
As an important constituency of Texas, the congressional district of Texas 22nd has always attracted much attention. The district is in search of new leadership and new ideas that can take it to new heights. The progress of Texas 22nd lies in the hands of the fellow Texans. Only a person belonging to the state can understand the issues faced by the commons there. The Texas 22nd congressional district will be holding the Primary Elections on March 4th, 2008. The district is on the lookout of a representative who can uphold the conservative values of the district and stand up for their rights. This can be possible only through a person who has lived in the state and experienced the issues faced by the residents there. He or she needs to be a person who symbolizes the very culture of Texas and has his or her loyalties in this district. The time has come for new beginnings, where the government is more pro-active, responsive and efficient.
Among the Republicans contesting in the election for the district include the former Sugar Land Mayor and Councilman, Dean Hrbacek (http://www.deanforcongress.com/) . Dean is a fourth-generation Texan who has lived in this district for quiet long. Dean Hrbacek has been credited with bringing about many positive changes in Sugar Land in the form of Tax cutting, bringing the University of Houston at Sugar Land, surface water transition, expansion of I-59, Town Square etc. among many others.
