You got about 8 teams all with a very legitimate shot at getting this thing, how great is that? I give the National League alot of respect, they have some real quality over there. Makes me kinda jealous as a fan of an american league team (yanks) cause they dont really play a true big game all season until october, and i dont count the boston games cause the only time boston is legit is in july when there is too much season to go, they always fold by september and the games dont mean much anyway, but props to the NL this is great for baseball.
On another note here are my predictions on who makes the playoffs, or at least who id like to see make it as far as potential good match ups go:
AL
Yanks
Boston
ChiSox
Oakland
NL
Braves
Marlins
Cubs
Giants
True but I'd watch the OFFENSIVE power of the AL (Hits and Homeruns) over the DEFENSIVENESS (all about pitching!) of the NL any day of the week...

I'd take a 1-0 game over 12-9 game any day of the week.
I was at Fenway the night Mussina lost his perfect game with 2 strikes 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th...One of the greatest games I have ever seen next to games 4 and 5 of the 2001 series.

GREAT GAME! It really all depends on my mood...pitching duels are fun but can be VERY BORING 2

pitching wins championships, plain and simple...
Look at Arizona last year, Schilling and Johnson were untouchable
Look at Texas, they will NEVER be contenders even with one of the best hitting lineups in baseball

oh and I would like to add that the Expos WILL win the Wild Card this year, Vasquez looks like he wont give up another run til spring training and Vlad is back
