I cant find any info on it to see it. It's already on DVD in the UK. Amazon.com had it listed on Blu-Ray but said it was discontinued by manufacturer. IMDB claims there is a limited release in US on Feb. 13 but I cant find any info for that either. Anyone have any other ideas?

yes...both files have to be the exact same name...nothing can be different, not even one symbol...
the only difference should be the subtiltle file should end in .srt

yeah, you can burn an avi file onto a dvd...you can compress it and prob put 4 or 5 movies on one dvd...but some dvd players wont play it in that form...its very tempermental...and sometimes subtitles dont work that way either
your best bet is to download a program called ConvertXtoDvd 3 and then convert that avi file into a dvd file...which you can only add 1 to any dvd...so it will work as a regular dvd...you can also manually add the subtitle stream in if it doesnt automatically connect...
i have a crack for that program if you need so let me know

i on-demanded it off ifc channel, anyway, it's everything a gangster movie from the states is NOT.....by that, i mean a few things.....first of all, the average gangster-flick fan is not going to like it, there is nothing comical or romanticized about it, second, there are no main characters to enjoy or arc to the story, it simply is what it is, third, the dialogue leaves you wondering and somewhat confused, meaning you take it as it is, period....no one-liners, no recall of anything really significant.....it gave me a sense of reality, but i wasn't entertained as i was from goodfellas, godfather, etc...it's hard to describe because i know a lot of people want to see it, all and all, i know i'll get more from reading the book

I watched this on demand last night and i have to agree with the above, this aint a hollywood production and if Deniro and Pesci is what your looking for this aint it.I will say having lived in that city for 2 years it really did capture the feel i mean Naples with the exception of the port and some suburbs is basically one giant ghetto its raw and dirty people think of Italy and think Venice Florence Naples is like the Bronx of Italy or Tiajuana I like to call it.We have always been brought up to believe that Italy and Italians are some place that looks like ancient Rome and people all look like gods and godesses this will be a real wake up call,Naples is very hood and it aint glamorous by any means and it really gives you a sense of how organized crime really is i mean this sopranos shit is such a stretch.

Maybe if it's a documentary into the day in the life of something, it's good, but I agree it was like traffic, and failed just like Babel did. Movie jumps all over the place, no real direction or point, no characters to connect to, and is also a little slow, as much as I love foreign films I honestly almost shut it off. Definitely not a movie to waste $$ to see in the theaters, how this won something at Cannes is the shear hype of the topic alone.

you make some good points about jumping all over and being a little slow, but it made up for that with being much more realistic than any other movie of its kind...i mean the guy who wrote the book is in witness protection

so I have to say after finally seeing this in the theatre yesterday I was very disappointed. i don't know enough about the history of this mobb or anything but from all of the hype it just wasn't what I was expecting at all. it was very slow, i felt that there were too many subplots and not enough character development. maybe someone else can explain it better to me but i'm guessing they tried showing different areas of the mobb and how it effected the area. i could go on but all in all I give it a 2 big thumbs down. :disappoin

Was that lady Maria the kid Simone's mom? Or do we never meet Maria's son?

I seen the movie a few weeks ago and they definitely captured exactly what naples and the mobb is like over there. For those who went into the movie as others said expecting to see something like Goodfellas Etc it is nothing like that at all.The movie is being told with different stories going on how the mobb effects all these people lives over there.
The first stories is obvious two kids who are grwoing up in naples and wanna live the life of the Goomorah and run around causing havoc to get wreckonized and want live that life. When they are confronted obvioulsy by the Goomorah they are told to abide by there rules in and work under someone in order to continue to do what they are or they will get killed.
The second story is about the working man who is a tailor who comes to work every day cause he loves what he does and his work is the best. Unfortunally he is under the pressure of the Goomorah cause he works for them and is in a very uncomortable situation for him. He is constantly at a battle and overworked and goes from loving what he does to quitting and in the end it shows that his work is the best by the queen wearing a dress he made.
The third story is about how the Goomorah shakes everyone down and does what they want. In this case they whey that they explain it is they have a collector who goes around to all the houses and picks up money for them. In one of the houses there is a women living there who he is friends with and they speak on how they are very unhappy with the situation and it should not be like this there. As time goes on and money isnt coming in the women is faced with not giving the money and is killed to set a example.

I thought the dude hands out money, and gives less and less each time. I thought the woman was killed because she snitched or was working against the mob.

it wasnt his mom
The woman Maria was the mother of the kid's friend who said he was changing to the other side.
Yea not the kid whose storyline they were following, I believe his name or at least nickname was Toto, it was his friend Simone's mom right.

I loved how those two kids were so infatuated with Scarface. When they were shooting the guns they were talking about killing the Colombians LOLOL. There storyline was pretty hysterical. I also liked the gratuitous T&A in the movie. Always a plus.
