I need to get an X Box. How much can you get one for these days? And is it worth it, how much longer till the next version comes out?

I totally recommend it, the new version wont be out till 2006 or 2007. I suggest buying a used one on ebay for $99.00 then replace the hard drive and throw a mod chip in there.

burned games or you can just put the games onto the internal hard drive like I do. When you load up your xbox you get a game menu.

Louie, I just got my Xbox done by a guy in Queens. If you include your own harddrive, it comes out to about $130. I highly recommend the guy. $130 gets you the following:

Xecuter Lite 2.2
installation of both harddrive and chip
Switches installed in order to turn on/off mod and bios
he also drops some stuff on the harddrive if you know what i mean ;)

The guy is also always available for questions and never seems bothered by them, even after paying him. He has a good reputation over at xbox-scene.com. No complaints at all have been listed.

PM me if you want his info. I think he'll knock off $10 if I refer you.

I've never soldered anything. I would be too paranoid to do it myself :) I may end up chaging the dvd drive so the tutorials may come in handy.
