Has anyone does this before?

It seems like its mostly water weight... Do you think its possible to keep it off once you go off the cycle?

I am really asking more for someone at work who is going on it but the menu looks pretty good, simple, and doable so I was thinking of trying it as well. :giveup

so basically starve yourself for 3 days lol--

its all right in that article--

Followers of the 3 Day Diet are promised up to a 10 pound weight loss in three days, although realistically, most of that weight is likely due to fluid loss and not the more desirable fat loss.

anyone lookin to "diet" for 3 days is in for some magical quick fix so they will probably lose a few pounds and gain it back the day after they "eat normal"

But the amount and types of food seem pretty satisfying... Like stuff I'd eat and enjoy anyway. You think that list is considered starving yourself? It doesnt seem low cal or anything.

I think for me if I tried it, it would be sort of a kickoff to cutting back on a lot of the junk foods I eat... Once I get started on a bit of a health kick I'm usually good, but its getting started that I have a hard time with. :hmmm

Following a plan with fewer than 1,000 calories a day concerns Moore. "The plan yields about 1,000 calories a day which has the ability to lower metabolism so when you revert back to normal eating, you regain weight even quicker."

Moore adds that the diet "sets up a vicious cycle of being hungry during the restrictive three days and most likely overeating on the off days."

And the diet is so monotonous, dieters gladly return to their old eating habits. "What good is it to go back to the old habits that caused the weight gain, without resolving weight issues?" asks Moore. "Hands down, the 3 Day Diet is not conducive to changing habits or encouraging a healthier lifestyle, which are fundamental to weight control," she says.

that's taken from the article on the diet

coffee
an apple and a spoon of PB is what you eat between meals not for a meal...

i dont like the coffee part at all, sounds like they are trying to tell the person to run on caffeine and not real fuel.

regardless i dont think i'd do something like that unless it was say to fit into a dress or to slim down pre-vacation...

thanks for the advice! i'll let my gf know although she already started it this morning (as i ate a huge breakfast :chuckle )

It definitely wont stay off. No temporary diet keeps weight off permanently.
