It's pretty shocking sometimes how much weight you can put on in a day. When i wrestled in high school i would sometimes gain as much as 8-9 pounds after weigh ins (which is pretty drastic i think considering i was wrestling at 125-130.

I gain and lose about 10 pounds every day so the scale is useless to me. To be honest, I could care less how much I weigh unless I'm going bungee jumping. I have a tailors tape measure and i measure my waist a few days a week. Forget weight, when you see the size of your waste diminish, that is satisfaction.

WORD and weight has so many factors involved. My trainer weighed me and thought the scale was broken because I weigh a lot more than I look...LOL He weighed himself and then made me take off my shoes and weigh in my shorts and sports bra and was so confused. I had to laugh and explain. Lucky for me I have extremely dense and heavy bones...I've never broken one and my doctor says it would take a lot for me to ever break one...so I will always weigh more than I look. I was a size 5/6 and 170lbs!!! Plus muscle weighs more than fat so when you're lean you're always going to weigh more than if you were just skinny filled with fat.

I don't think I have dense heavy bones, I'm just fat. That's why the number on my scale is so high. Everyone always says they would never think I weigh as much as I do, but I'm not fooled. Theyre just trying to be nice.

how much more does a pound of muscle weigh than a pound of fat?
As per a google search...
weighs about 18% more than fat. There are about 1.06 g/L in muscle and 0.9 g/L in fat.

haha yes quite right!
Unless you are weighing in for competition of some sort scales are useless to me. I havent stepped on one in years. Some people become obsessed with it but I think its a bad idea mentally. It fucks your head up and distracts you from focusing on more important things.

She said weighs, which is an honest mistake - but in her defense she did cite g/L, which is density, or mass per volume.

LOL Sorry mess of my words which f u all you know I do all the time! LOL
It says that because muscle is more dense less of it will equate to a lb as opposed to fat. Hence the grams per liter measurement smart asses!!!
:booted
In the most basic of terms Jim and Tom can have the exact same measurements however if Jim has a higher body fat percentage then Tom....Tom will weigh more than Jim.
And if you still don't get it then too bad! :yousuck
