sorry you felt that way about the party - the liqour thing was very unorganize and i appologize for it. i got there at 8 and there waa no liqour, no soda, no juice, no bar, no penthouse, no bar or bar tender so it was a little nuts getting ewverything goin. but i thikn everyone that helped us out deffinatly did a good job. as far as the money thing goes .. we tried to have a party where everyone would have fun. didnt set out to make any money on this. the "case of beer and bottle of vodka" cost nearly $1000. the neighbors all got hit off so that we could keep the party going including the door man. had the pay the guy who lived there for allowing me to invite all of you to his apt. and then the cost of cleanup and paint. and i had to pay the dealer for allowing me to smoke all his weed =) for those who know me know i never throw a party to make $$ and its always just for the sake of a good time. i appreciate everyones donations last night. and look foward to having you all back for the next one. this was the first time i threw a party like this one and will deff iron out the kinks for the next one.

ps - mazz any suggestion how i can help you have a better time at the next one??

if you know everythings not all together, then dont have someone literally gettin in peoples faces and demanding $$. Then it becomes all about the $$. if you have to deal with that many people just to throw the party, then maybe thats the wrong place to do it. Take last nites crowd and put them in Lickweds and problem solved. or something like that.

i appologize if you felt disrespected by someone asking orr demanding for $$. the only people i knew that were askin for money were steve and kaine. not sure which nazi chic you were referring to. anway, you stuck around for a minute and my friend justin got a few pics of you dancing and having a good time so it couldnt have been that bad =) ... as far as the lickwid thing goes .. the setting for any get together is always very important. for this party i set out to get a private, intimate setting were everyone can let loose, feel comfortable and have a genuine good time with good friends. havin a party in a place that alreadt has its own bar and sound system are great things!! however if the party was in lickwid - all of our friends would not have been able to make such messes of themselves. and donna would not have taken such great pictures. seems to me like everyone had a good time and i am very happy with the ways things ended up going. i think it was a great change of pace and hope you will attend my next party.

I totally had fun at the party last nite. Im sure next time will go much smoother. allthough I cant believe that the building would let u geys get away with that again. Ill always check out ur parties cuz i know whos gonna be there and I know the musics gonna be great.

onec again mazz - thank you for coming. alwasy a pleasure to see you. not only would they let us do it again but they offered us the roof deck for future parties which is already equipped with a full bar! for a small security fee of course. problem one solved =)
there were no real somplaints about last nihgt. the one chinese neighbor complained a few times. a crispy hundred shut her up. the cops were actually expected. they show up at all of the parties there. but they were very cool about everything.
did you get a chance to go check out the roof??

sorry about the elevator thing donna. in the beginnin of the night we had no idea who was going to be collecting money - so obviously the wrong person took it into their hands and made the decision to ask you for $$ in the elevator. i would never do that.

beer, ice, cups and soda were actually cheap. it was the liqour that was expensive. and how you people managed to finish all but one bottle of vodka is beyond me. but seriously, when we got there there nothing. not one cup or ice cube. not even a cold drink. it was late and there was no where to run to and stock up on liqour so we werent able to get a reasonable price on the liqour. just took what we could get - better then having everyone show up to no liqour!!

wow how this turned in a 57 post reply I dunno, but here is my whole take on the situation...

YES there were some things that could have been handled better, and we tried to handle them as best we could. When we got to the place at like 8:30, not only did we have to set up equipment and move furniture so there was more room, there was absolutely no alcohol whatsoever. So we took it upon ourselves to make sure everything was set and people got what they expected from us.

In Mazz' situation, which was also a few other people's situations, I did the best I personally good to help them. But also understand that certain things had to be taken care. I was also paying neighbors off to shut their mouths when they came bitching and keep the party going. This wasnt a business type thing for us, cause with the money that was left in the end we wouldnt think twice about having another party like it IF it was strictly about the money.

But the way I see it, and Im 110% sure Shawn feels the same way the MOST important part of all of this is that everyone had a good time. And I feel that everyone did. Lets be perfectly honest here, does anyone think that I wanted to play doorman during my birthday party? Absolutely not, but a situation arose and I took care of things. I know I had a GREAT fucking time Friday, something I could remember for a long time. Seeing everyones faces, talking to them, dancing around, etc etc was WELL and beyond worth the effort put into this.

Im sorry that some people were upset by some of the situations that arose, but we did the best that we could. And I can promise that the next party will be more organized so things like this dont happen again. You all know me, I like to party just as much as everyone else and know how I want things myself if the role was the other way around.
