they are the worst. I have been getting them a lot lately due to continous stress on my eyes. I guess I should go get them checked tomorrow. I have been holding off for a month now and the headaches have gotten progressively worse...especially after I drive somewhere.

I have the same problem...especially when i drive...if i have a long drive i usually pop an advil first and it prevents me from getting the headache...do u have back problems? its probabaly due to that

its definantly due to my eye sight being below par. I cant read signs on the highway until I'm about 20 ft away... seeing street signs, just forget that. and when someone is about 75 - 100 ft away from me they have a fuzzy glow around them and I cant see their eyes or mouth just fuzz...lol. but I can still drive fine I dont think I am a danger to those around me... I guess Ive let getting glasses go for so long because I can read up close and see the comp/tv fine. But these headaches are getting retarded now... I dont want to to hear any sounds or be in the light when I get a migraine. Not to mention that I lost 6lbs the past week and a half b/c I get nausous too. :(

I was on Napersin(sp) and Midrin for a few months after I had some head trama from a car crash I was in. The Napersin was for the mild head aches and the Midrin was for the Migrains. Worked really well too cause my head was killing me for awhile after this crash.
I know you can buy Napersin over the counter now (mild dose)...its the active ingredient in Aleive.

Naprocen (naproxen) lost its patent ..thats when Naproxen went over the counter which is now Aleve (milder dose)....that drug is pretty strong...works real good for serious back and neck problems (which cause most headaches)...I used to take it after my car accident as well... now i stick with Advil for the long car rides or severe headaches....works great for me

I went to the doctor, I'm going for a CAT scan tomorrow, see if they can find my brain.

Why, anybody can have a brain. That's a very mediocre commodity. Every pusillanimous creature that crawls on the Earth or slinks through slimy seas has a brain. Back where I come from, we have universities, seats of great learning, where men go to become great thinkers. And when they come out, they think deep thoughts and with no more brains than you have. But they have one thing you haven't got: a diploma.
GOOD LUCK GATES...
and lets us know how it turns out.

I had severe migraines for years..
they got so bad I went to see a Dr. in plainview.. they made me do all these test.. walking in a straight line, bending over.. mostly balance tests... I was told to write a diary for a month on what I was eating, my stess level, and how strong or light the headache was.
They were so bad I used to cry so hard. I had to lock myself in the room w/ the doors closed and totally dark.. no noise! I used to take Ice and put in on my head, but I told the Dr. I did that and he said I shouldnt do that.. it's actually bad.
Anway..
He perscribed my Imitrex for my headaches.. he gave me a few samples...
One bad thing about them tho.. is (I know for me) when I get a migraine it just feels like a regular headache that just expodes in pain out of knowhere..
So, with the Imitrex you have to take it before it gets severe or it wont work as well.
Good Luck! and if you want the name of my Dr. in Plainview lemme know!!!
Feel better :D
