Anyone catch the commercials for this new MTV show called Rich Girls? It's about two high school senior girls who live their life just like any average 18 year olds except they are RICH. One girl is Tommy Hilfiger's daughter but I can't figure out who the other one is.

This show will definitely make me ill. Althought it MUST be nice, I'm not so sure I'd like to be born with a silver spoon in my mouth.

I can see how a show like this could make any girl or guy who is not as rich get severly depressed.

yeah i totally agree with you on that 1. nothing wrong with being rich, some people are just lucky, ya know.. but to make a show about it, it's like rubbing it in peoples faces.

I saw another promo for this show last night and all I can say is that I was a cross between disgusted and infuriated.

The girls are lunching at a cafe and the waiter (obviously an actor) is asking them what it feels like to be rich, blah blah and they respond, "we're just normal girls".

But, you aren't normal girls. Your father is Tommy Hilfiger and you ride around in a limo to and from school?! There is a camera crew that follows you everywhere (including to your shopping sprees where you buy Gucci bags on a whim) and to the salon where you get your weekly facial. :rolleyes:

Last time I checked this is not what the average NORMAL high school girl did.

Call me jealous, call me a tight ass, but I think this is the wrong message to be sending out to the impressional and sensitive youth in our society.
