Anyone going to see it this weekend?
ANd, is it really a true story? I heard that it's inspired by a true story, some serial killer that killed people and then skinned them and wore their heads. Other than that, It's made up...
Anybody know for sure?

From FHM
Five things you didn't know about texas chainsaw massacre
1Though the film opens with the tag, "this story you are about to see is true" its not. THe plot is based on the life of '50's Serial killer Ed Gein, who did wear a flesh mask and would also do things like make chairs out of people's skin and belts out of womens nipples.
2 the opening narration is done by future night court star john larroquette, making his film premeir
3 marylin burns, who played the films only survivor sally was a very slow runner so gunnar hanson aka leatherface had to find ways to slow down thats why he constantly swings his chainsaw and crashes into things.
4 At age 34, john dugan was cast as the 108 year old grandfather. It took 10 hours t apply his make up. He had to shoot a 27 hour marathon so that the make up wouldn't have to be reapplied.
5 one scene in this filming spree involved leatherface slicing off sally's fingers. a hidden tube was suppposed to release blood, but it kept clogging. hanson was so tired from shooting the he sliced the actresses hand and drew real blood.
