Boerum Hill maybe the best neighborhood in NYC. I fuckin love this area. The food on Smith Street is awesome. Some of the places I've tried recently:
El Pacifico (Smith and Pacific) - awesome guac and fish tacos. Great outdoor seating area, as well.
Oaxaca (Smith btwn Douglas & Degraw) - another dope Mexican Spot. Really good tacos. Had the carne asada and ceviche. Both excellent. Place is cheap, quick and delicious
Robin des Bois (Smith & Warren) - great French themed spot. Yummy brunch menu. Very ecclectic decor (full snakeskin, giant chandelier, alligator, among other things. Really good quiche

I was over there for lunch today. I ate at Soul Spot on Atlantic Ave right before Smith St. Nicky's Vietnamese Sandwiches is right across the street too. I wanna try Pacifico one day soon.

Yea, it's soul food. Chicken, chicken and more chicken. LOL Jerk, fried, baked. Typical southern sides like collard greens, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese. Some ribs and cajun type fish dishes. Cornbread. It is delicious.

Nice, maybe I'll check it out next time I'm over there. There was/is a spot called Soul Fixin's on 34th Street in the city (by 9th Ave across the street from B&H). Dope fried chicken and sides

I think I remember you mentioning that you work around the intersection of Atlantic & Flatbush - If so, I've heard about some gourmet hot dog place on the corner of Flatbush & Bergen (it's actually on Bergen west of Flatbush) called Bark that's supposed to be pretty good - you should def check it out and then post a review so that I can brag about my food critiquing/prediction skills.

Yea, that's where I am. I was just over by there today, one of my lunch staples is right there but I dont think I've ever even seen this place, prob passed it so many times without knowing. Just called them up to make sure they were still open (tons of places around here closed down) and they are. Def gonna have to check it out. I'm gonna try and get my lunch crew to go there this week and then I'll post about it. Thanks for the heads up.
Edit: By the looks of all the reviews and the dates on Yelp this place must be knew.
