Some news stories can be found here (http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&edition=us&q=harvard+study+atkins+diet).

Basically what they did was divide participants into three groups: low-fat diet, low-carb diet, low-carb diet plus 300 calories. Th low-carb lost the most weight at 22 lbs about, the low-fat group lost about 19 and the low-carb plus 300 calories lost about 20 meaning you could theoretically eat "more" on a low-carb diet and lose at much weight as being on a low-fat diet

I'm not an advocate of no carb diets either, but I totally agree with low carb diets.

I just started the Atkins on Wed.. Good stuff I am still working out but now I am NOT doing cardio after the training session and I am getting good results. My experience with low or zero carb diets is that the calorie deficit that is created from drastically reducing carbs can not be in combination with extreme physical activity ie.. lifting weights & cardio which resulted in consumption of too much muscle for energy. This is kind of a experiment because I have packed on some pounds after the summer and I have to fit my fat ass in to a suit for a wedding on the 7th of Nov so we will see:D :D :D
