Do you guys think any of this stuff works?
Creatine?
Andro?
AD-1?
etc..
I have been lifting for 10 years and have dropped a ton of money on every "miracle" supplement to hit the market. I have used every Muscle tech product out there, Creatine, andro, etc...
In all my experience, nothing has really lived up to its claims. The only thing to ever work was juice, and even that goes away for the most part when you come off.
I havent used any supplements, legal or illegal, in around a year. I have just kept a good diet with vitamins and glutamine added in.
I feel like i have hit a wall in the past few months and would love to throw something in the mix to get a little boost in the gym. Im not gonna hit the gas because its too much of a commitment and I dont think its worth it at this point in my life.
I guess Im looking to see if anyone has found a new product that has really worked for them.

U cant compair natural supplements to juice..
..but for instant size (maybe some bloat depending on how thick you are naturally).. I'd go w/ Dballs.
Creatine makes you hard.. but winny/finajet (sp?) works better ;)

Creatine doesn't make you hard; it makes you kinda soft if anything from water retention. Creatine works best for me even though I haven't ever used any of that andro stuff or steroids.
Creatine should work for most people if they can handle the side-effects and use it properly.

Most people don't know to mix it with dextrose and ALA (alpha)and wonder why it doesn't work. You need a nice insulin spike for it to work.

ALA? Alpha Lipoic Acid? If so, how much?
As far as the dextrose, what is your opinion on Cell Tech? Isnt that their whole hook with that product?
My results with creatine have been all bloat.

CellTech is a waste of money when all you need to do is add dextrose and ALA (alpha-lipoic acid) to the creatine. 200mg capsules of ALA are pretty expensive and so too is L-glutamine. But at least if you but them all seperately you'll save more money than you would using CellTech.
Just put your creatine in the most sugary drink you can find (e.g., Kool Aid) and take a 200mg capsule of ALA. Creatine does bloat people due to water retention, but that's what the winter is for (gaining mass).

What about mixing with grape juice or Cranberry juice? Thats what everyone was doing a few years back.
Also, when do you take your dose?Before/After workout? AM? How long do you stay on?

Grape juice I hear doesn't have a high-enough glycemic index. Dextrose spikes the insulun much better. Any very sweet fruit punch or Kool Aid should do the trick.
I take creatine about 20 min before each workout and 20 min after if I remember to. I don't worry about the second dose that much as long as I take the dose before the gym.

Theres your link to buy dextrose. The 11 lb. bucket will last you a while. Go with 5 grams of creatine before and 5 grams after.

Mike...
Alot of my friends are using NoX2. Not sure if you have heard of it or not, but every supplement store has numerous brands under the No label. NoX2 basically is supposed to extend the muscle pump and prompt muscle growth and speed recovery and increase their strength by increasing blood flow to the area and maintaining the blood flow there. Hence the extedned pump. This increased blood flow is similiar to some steriods in that steriods increase the volume of blood in your body, but this is just increasing blood volume locally. You may wanna investigate more yourself but everyone I know is talking about it, whether its good or not... I dunno. I stick to diet, protein and glutamine. Good luck! :WINK

I haven't taken anything recently, but at one point I was mixing things, the best combo I ever took was Creatine(Phospagen HP) and Myoplex, I put on 15lbs of mass, was solid and got alot stronger over the period too. If I ever wanted to get bigger thats definitely what I'd do.
All I take now is Diet Turbo Tea (http://www.americanbodybuilding.com/products/product_detail.asp?Inventory=694) before I work out for a little kick, no ephadra but gives me the same boost.

I would too. I don't trust too many supplements, especially with those funky little names.

You can also try mixing Creatine with Apple juice. Its very hi in sugar and it doesnt have alot of acid in it to fuck up the creatine when you mix it.
Alot of those supplements are complete crap....
