View Full Version : Tire Flipsss & Sledge Hammers

Today me and my boys did tire flips agian.

We fliped the tire 5 times up and down the driveway for a good 40 minutes I have no clue how many sets it was. We slammed the sledge on the tire 10 righty 10 lefty 3 sets then we made a circut and threw hang cleans in there. We did 4 circuts here is my fourth one.

Im really trying hard to up my conditioning

LOL, I don't even want to know what my heart rate was. I was shot after that, it works the forearms like you wouldn't believe. They were sore for 5 days. My forearms never get sore.

loooks good dude.

when you swing that sledge, you should swing it like an axe, start with one hand up right under the sledge head high as possible and the other on the very bottom, as you come down slide your top hand down to meet your bottom hand and use your entire body to bring it down.

(don't mind the skinny dude hes got perfect form tho)
You may get some blisters the first few times around but you get a better work out, and hit it harder this way cause you build more core strength this way and learn to transfer the energy from your feet out thru your arms into the axe/sledge.

great post man, i was going to post the same exact thing.

the only thing i would add is that it is ok to take a step to go into the tire slam. just make sure your feet are square when you are at the end of your swing. also, you should try hitting it on the flat side of the sledge hammer. not the end like you are supposed to

WARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I have to get to my friends yard hes a supervisor for DOT they have a bunch of tires sittin around I have room for this in alley next to house love it
