Put on Labrynth for my niece last night and it's now her new favorite movie. She's actually watching it again right now. Matilda & Annie are her other two favorites. She had me watch Matilda this weekend, it's pretty funny. I had never seen it before. Danny Devito made it. I'm going to get the book to read.

Mike's Murder, with debra winger..interesting movie...it's about a chick whose one night stand is murdered mysteriously.... the chick spends the entire movie trying to figure out what he was involved with that led to his murder...interesting movie but kinda slow moving and stupid in certain places...

also fell asleep watching some interesting movie on cable about a young neo nazi anti-semite who's really jewish...and who tries to reconcile his violent feelings towards jewish people and the jewish faith with his religious / cultural upbringing....pretty cool flick...don't remember the name though...

Green Zone: I didn't look into it so i thought it was another Bourne type movie. It wasn't bad though bc i pretty much like any and all military movies (this is about Iraq and WMD's).

Tonei, The Damned United looks good and i'm going to have to check that out.

Kickass - pretty good. Funny at times, good action also. A lot more gorey than I expected. Most over the top actor of our generation eats it in an epic death scene, so that was a bonus. - 3 cocoanutts

Nic Cage's Batman costume with the Captain Kirk voice was atrociously hilarious. McLovin was surprisingly semi badass. Nice shoutout to Nicholson at the end.

I enjoyed it as well. Better than his other more recent flicks.

I watched several this weekend, as it was my girl's bachelorette party weeked and I was home alone all day yesterday, lol.

Hot Tub Time Machine - pretty, funny. Not as dumb as I would have expected. Motley Crue and Poison are awesome. - 3 cocoanutts

Machine Girl - Japanese prove again that they are just fucked up in the head. Interesting story. Movie is equal parts gore fest, and power rangers type fight scenes. - 2 & 1/2 cocoanutts

Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day - Entertainin, but kind of risiculous. Hard to understand at times with the heavy irish accents. Fun shoot em scenes. - 2 & 1/2 cocoanutts

2012 - Fell asleep 20 minutes in. Not sure I will bother trying to watch again. UNless I'm having troiuble sleeping. - 1 & 1/2 cocoanutts

Also finished Season 2 of the Shield. Fuckin show is just awesome. - 4 cocoanutts

I watched Edge of Darkness yesterday. Retarded revenge movie LOL. Absolutely no point, and they unravel the most ridiculous story line. Some good scenes here and there that get you off guard, but not really worth the watch.

Dinner for Schmucks - 3-3.5/5 I don't feel like I'd watch it again so I'm leaning towards 3. Should've gone to see scott pilgrim.
We live in Public - 2.5/5

Scott Pilgrim looks like it could be hilarious, or epically bad. Since I fear every big theatre has bedbugs now. I am waiting for everything to come out on DVD

That's creepy! Someone on this site once posted an article about bed bugs in NY and I was itchy for days!

Everyone that I know that has seen scott pilgrim has loved it. I'm trying to not let that go to my head.

Amadeus - Love it until the end which I still haven't finished cause it starts dragging and it's really long. So can't rate it just yet but it's very hilarious for the most part. The main character (not the one that plays mozart) is really good. Mozarts character never fully sat right with me but he's still comical.

A very long engagement. Loved it. 5/5 Audrey Tautou is too freakin cute and hello Gaspard Ulliel, yum!..

that's what i was thinking....how the fuck do you make a real horror movie (or any real movie) pg-13? we live in a rated R world....fuck pg-13...granted directors and producers can get away with a little bit more under pg-13 than they did in the past, but still....

Hot Tub Time Machine - started off good. I thought it had a ton of potential to be great but died off and was pretty corny.

I got dragged to see The Last exorcism. Guessed the whole thing within 10 minutes. You know a flick is bad when the whole theater boo's and throws shit at the screen when it ends. IDK how the chick I went with got scarred, nothing scary at all about this movie

is it possible to give a flick negative stars?

EDIT-Wrote this before reading page 2

Iron Man 2 - a bit over the top and cheesy. Definitely worse than the first one. Underdeveloped villain in Mickey Rourke. I'm just not a huge fan of the premise of this series. Robert Downey Jr. is good in this role, so maybe see it just to see him. 2 stars out of 4.

Date Night - contrived garbage. Steve Carell should be ashamed at some of the vehicles he is picking. I didn't laugh once, turned it off on the flight about 2/3 of the way through. 0.5 stars out of 4.

Death at a Funeral - the original is a CLASSIC. This remake is not as good, but it's hard to screw up such a funny premise. I would go with the original if you haven't seen it, but you'll find plenty of laughs in this one. The cast is pretty good. 2.5 stars out of 4.
