View Full Version : I've cleaned up...
I'll admit, I use to eat crappy food. Take out, fast food, fried foods, heavy carbs........ just super unhealthy :cow Then I went on this yo-yo diet and lost 40lbs last summer, and felt amazing :pushup. As soon as I got off, the pounds crept back on.....bc I still had bad eating habits! So I'm finally glad to share with you I've cleaned up my eating, and I've lost 9lbs! In part, I've used some of the aspects of The Abs-Diet, but overall have cleaned up my ways in the kitchen. I also measure every drop of oil, fat, or salt I add into foods, and have replaced carbs with fruits and veggies. I've upped the protein and fiber with nuts and added greek yogurt. Needless to say, my boyfriend has also lost 12lbs :) I can't imagine whats gonna happen when we join the gym. Take out is history!! And the best part of it all, we've saved a TON of $$$$ lol
I know most of you are health nuts and super super skinny and super healthy and fit as is, but for those of you struggling like I have, clean up your mouth. It's amazing what conscious eating can do!
Thanks for letting me share my success! :heythere

I find that it works best for me when I follow a 75%/25% plan lol I love things like pasta, italian bread, pizza, candy etc. , so there's no way I could fully cut out those bad choices. So, 75% of what I eat is healthy, and I eat my junk in moderation, mainly on the weekends. One time I cut out bad carbs for 2 weeks, and limited my carbs to only fruits and whole grains, and I must say, my stomach was never flatter then it was after that 2nd week lol but def. not something I could stick with long term.

excellent job to everyone that's made the change. You feel 500 times better putting natural, unprocessed foods into your body. You have more energy, look better, the list goes on. And Luv2luvme, doing what you did allows you to maintain this lifestyle for the rest of your life. I gave up everything without a second look, but that's not for everyone. And I've fallen off about 3 times, but i'm back, doing what i want to be doing & I look slammin. I'm still a work in progress, but i'm very close to my goal physique for competition. and at this point I'm never letting anyone or anything take me back to that ugly, low point when I hated the way I looked & felt horrible inside. You truly are what you eat. Put fresh, natural food in the tank and you're fueling a lean fitness machine. Put in garbage & you wont get much out.

The key is to stick to it and live the lifestyle. Cheat meal once a week isnt going to kill you and usually if you have a day where you do have a cheat meal, you will be able to stick to your diet/eating healthy much easier. Full Cheat Days, snacks at night, ect will ruin you and your progress will stop.
Like they say...You are what you eat.
