Was looking for something different so i just booked an 8 day/night trip in November. It's my first time going so i'm really not sure where to go or what to do (besides drink) but if anyone knows good places to; stay, visit, skip, etc. It would be very much appreciated (renting a car so getting around is not a problem).

I think i'm going to hit Dublin for a few days (Temple Bar area), Killarney, Cork, Galway, and Belfast.

I'm hoping to be in Dublin for their national soccer game against Norway but not sure if it's going to work out.

I've been looking around at castles and hoping to stay a night here, looks beautiful.

Haven't been to Ireland in over 8years, but I used to go twice a year for dance competitions when I was younger.

I love Killarney (in County Kerry). It's such a cute town and while you're there, you should def. drive around the Ring of Kerry. You don't necessarily have to drive around the entire thing (because it will take you an extremely long time), but the scenery is beautiful. Also, definitely go see the Muckross House (old estate - they have guided tours).

I also remember Killarney having a lot of clubs/bars to go out to at night & they were always packed every night of the week.

The country-side outside as you're driving to Galway is beautiful, there are stone walls everywhere. I don't remember anything in the city being that great though, but we were only there for a day.

If you have time, go see the Cliffs of Mohr in Country Clare. There isn't much to this except seeing the cliffs but the view is great & being there is absolutely breath-taking.

County Cork - Blarney Castle... kissing the Blarney stone is a must during your first trip to Ireland.

I never went to Dublin and only went to Belfast once, so I can't help you there but they are both busy cities, so you'll def. be able to find stuff to do. The Guniness Factory is in Dublin & they offer tours :)

So i leave next Friday with really no itinerary which i like when going on vacation bc i can pretty much do what i want with no pressure or restrictions.

Any pubs or restaurants which are a must see? I met a bartender the other week at Tonic and her husband is good friends with the owner of Wrights Venue (which apparently is one of the best clubs in Dublin) and he's hooking us up. Looks like a cool spots.

Only thing i really have planned is 2 Sundays from now going to see the Irish soccer finals in the new Aviva Stadium in Dublin which should be awesome.

Just an awesome time. Did 4 nights in Dublin, 1 in Cork, 1 in Killarney, 1 in Galway, then another in Dublin. I actually had the most fun in the other spots as i got a little tired of Dublin after a few days. Didn't take any pictures of the food but it was actually pretty good.

The people were extremely nice and helpful and the taxi drivers were hilarious (for the most part).

Driving was interesting to say the least, on the left side of the road and people fly on these extremely narrow winding roads. But, the views in every direction were just amazing.

A few pictures:
