It was the same people walking around like zombies half dead with there eyes in the back of there head every Saturday night and it was making me sick. Not to mention, you couldnt manage to escape without some big juicehead smearin the lake on his chest all over your brand new shirt..lol....I liked Sf though. I definately want to go there again.

it takes alot out of some people...priorities have changed...monetary reasons...noone to go with...want a change of scenery...86'ed (lol)...there are a lot of reasons why some don't go anymore..and then you have a whole new generation of heads that is just getting started..

everything moves in cycles..

but La Factoria is still my fav place of all time..

SF was good when you had to look good to get in...
When the music made the crowd "A Whole"....
When There was a Icecream stand ... and the "Special" room to go hide away in....(lol The gift/sneakerchick)
When,
"If you didnt have a girl with you, you werent getting in"
When Paris told people she didnt like there shoes, to step off..
When Girls sat on the speakers handing out Candy to all...
And when you went to sit down on the bleechers..you sat on someones lap.......
Also when EVERYWEEKEND youd come home with a HILARIOUS story....to tell...

THATS when SF was good...1996/7---1999..
No you have a bunch of either TOO YOUNGINGS or TOO OLD People giving off a "so so" Vibe..........
Lets Hold the Memory at Hand....
Its nto only about the music...but the Memories...

Everytime I went to SF it was a different experience, and every single time it was FUN!!! I never met so many people before in my life!! The 3rd Floor with the strippers and juiceheads..when there was a roped off VIP section notorious for housing girls who'd wind up taking their clothes off by nights end...The bottom floor with the circles....and the couches up against the wall...((sigh))..those were the days.

I agree that the scene changed for me when they built the 4th Floor..at that point, I didn't feel like it was my "home" anymore...

Sorry to break your hearts but sounds is not opening this saturday its pretty much a wrap for a while although there still a fight being put up it dosn't look good. depressing "yes" but was it not starting to look depressing any way on the main floor. it's time for a fresh start. when one door closes another opens. look foward to the fresh up and comming future of new york saturday parties.

sats never had a guestlist..................
and when they did it was very early in night and was not blasted...
The only time guestlists were big on sat were in like 98/99
and with the 18+ friday parties when i heald list with Jenn and eric...........and with the Christmas Party the Fusion & NV threw

RICHARD hates guestlists,,,and hates even having sub promoters.....i feel he uses them to add to his base crowd

I had a list there before Alex and Leo brought in JP in 97. I was promoting a gay party there from Nov 96 to Feb 97. I use to make a killing with my list till 2000 when he got rid of the lists and promoters. He does hates promoters, he doesn't need them now, but if JP walks he'll need them again.

NEW YORK CITY POLICE COMMISSIONER RAYMOND W. KELLY AND SPECIAL NARCOTICS PROSECUTOR BRIDGET G. BRENNAN ANNOUNCE CLOSURE OF TWO NIGHTCLUBS IN MANHATTAN ON CHARGES OF ONGOING ILLEGAL "DESIGNER" DRUG ACTIVITIES.

New York City Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly and Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G. Brennan today announced the closure of two large nightclubs in Manhattan on charges of ongoing illegal drug
activities. The Sound Factory, at 616-620 West 46th Street, and Exit, at 610 West 56th Street, were closed on Friday, February 7, by order of the New York State Supreme Court. These closing orders are subject to
modification by the court.

"The New York City Police Department is combatting the illegal narcotics trade everywhere in our city – not only in the streets, but also in nightclubs," said Commissioner Kelly. "Our detectives did a terrific job throughout this investigation. Thanks to their hard work, we are sending a clear message to nightclub owners: If you allow illegal drugs to saturate your business and endanger your patrons, we'll shut you down."

Special Narcotics Prosecutor Brennan said: "Most of those we are prosecuting are college students who seemed to have no appreciation of the legal consequences to themselves or the harm that their distribution
of the drugs brought to their customers. The special treatment they received in the exclusive areas of the clubs enhanced their sense that they could conduct criminal business with impunity."

Both nightclubs have been the scene of numerous narcotics crimes, usually involving illegal "designer" drugs, such as Ecstasy (methylenedioxy methamphetamine or MDMA) and Special K (ketamine). In Exit, undercover detectives not only purchased drugs easily, they also observed many club patrons using them in the open. In other incidents, detectives purchased benign substances that the sellers claimed were illegal drugs, a common ploy used by narcotics dealers to defraud naive drug buyers.

The nightclub was previously the subject of a nuisance abatement action, in September 2000. After extensive negotiations with the club owners at that time, Exit was allowed to operate after club management
agreed to institute numerous anti-drug policies, including hiring an independent private-sector inspector general, or IPSIG, to monitor and report on club activities. The IPSIG agreement covered a nine-month
period, from October 2001 to June 2002.

At the Sound Factory, the larger nightclub with a capacity of more than 1,400 people, undercover detectives purchased Ecstasy, Special K, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana. During the investigation, drug use by patrons was clearly in the open. In fact, on Jan. 26, 2003, a 19-year-old woman overdosed and was removed from the club in an unconscious state. The Sound Factory was also temporarily closed by nuisance abatement order on April 30, 1999.

This investigation was initiated by the Narcotics Division of the New York City Police Department and the investigation was assisted by the office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor and the NYPD's Civil Enforcement Unit. The Civil Enforcement Unit secured nuisance abatement closing orders against 649 locations across the city in 2002, for charges including illegal narcotics, gambling, prostitution, auto crime,
stolen property, alcohol beverage control law, and trademark infringement offenses.

Eleven defendants are being prosecuted for drug sales inside the clubs by the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.

I also got a massage and handjob from him in 2002...he was a gay male prostitute...but apparently now he just robs and beats his male clients up now...he's gone full crackhead criminal now. But he used to be a great kisser and gave a great bj & handjob when i knew him.

Here's a Village Voice article about his criminal activities:

i doubt there will ever be another sf in nyc,
it was sick while it lasted. i remeber thinking on monday i can't wait till sat...trying to fall asleep
on sat night knowing it wasn't happening only to wake up at 4 to get ready.

got a little messy toward the end, (got greedy and less strict with who they let in)
prob was thumping i would say 98,99,2000,in 2001 the fall off began in my opinion.

but there is still no where in the world like sf not that i have visited anyhow.

as eleni said, priorities change, the new crew comes in the old one goes out, life is about change. its the people that dont change that worry me.
