you don't need a boot disc for XP , therefore you can't...
if you wanna install XP back on , format your shit , set the boot sequence in bios so it reads from cd first , pop the cd in and ur ready to go

yeah i already tried that, i even went to the length of disconnecting the the hard drive completely and trying to put the cd on the primary ide, for some reason even if i have the cd set as the first or the only boot device, it trys to boot from the floppy and says insert bootable floppy, and I can't get around it to a dos prompt.

Insert a floppy disk into your computer's floppy drive.
Open My Computer, and then click the floppy disk drive to select it.
On the File menu, point to the name of the floppy drive, and then click Format.
Under Format options, click Create an MS-DOS startup disk.
Click Start.
Important

Creating an MS-DOS startup disk erases all information on the floppy disk.
Notes

To open My Computer, click Start, and then click My Computer.
The MS-DOS startup disk only allows the system to boot into an MS-DOS prompt. The disk contains no additional tools.

thats because fdisk isnt on the boot disk, if u dont have dos 6.22 i can zip up some of the files you'll need and send em to you.

I was able to use the ms prompt disk to get the files he needed off his hard drive. Someone told me I can make a boot disk off www.bootdisk.com I'm going to check it out when I get home tonight, if not I'll drop you a line. Thanks for the help.

ok heres what u do
use win 98 boot disk and run fdisk off it then delete partitions as you normaly would..
reboot and then create fat 32 partitions then if needed..
then when reinstalling xp it will ask u to change to ntfs and if you want you can change to ntfs but i whould stick with xp on fat 32 just incase cause its easier to work with incase of accidents
