I heard somewhere that you can donate money to keep Firehouses open throughout NYC since Bloomberg is threatening to close a number of them down. Does anyone know where I can go to do this?

go to NYC.gov. I am sure you can find all the info.

me personally I had to donate to the families of those undercover cops...they left behind five kids...sad shi t..

although I rather not have my house burn down ....

Well, the NYPD and the NYFD do so much for this city, that any help they can get is great!

Very sad about those two officers though...:(

it's kinda a catch 22...who do you donate too.....Iwish i was rich...

that what makes me mad about rich people...although I dont expect you to donate all of your money....if people like me who support themselves on a middle class salary are donating...get off your rich asses and help too..

maybe I will rotate between donations every other month ...

I want to donate to the NYFD right now. I wish I was rich also...I'd love to help out anyway I can. I also agree that the rich should be reaching into their pockets and helping out since they are able to, but unfortunately, many high-profile people will only do things not because they want to, but because it's 'good publicity'...:rolleyes:

Becareful who you are donating too. make sure you do your homework. there are a lot of shaddy assholes who scam nice people.....
