..."Pulling the plug"
If u or someone u knew was on life support and that was there only chance of survival, what do u feel is the right way to allow them to go in peace? Who should be allowed consent over this matter?
Wut do ya think?

The family of course. Only if they got several doctor's opinions who said that the patient is completely brain damaged and could not survive without life support. In this case, the person is already gone, and its just the body that is being kept alive.

Well I had to pull the plug on my mother. I don't wish that on anyone. It was a very difficult decision but I feel my dad, my grandfather, my brothers, and I all made the right choice.

family should decide... not an easy decision either... i know
i would want someone to pull it on me....
my family is actually in the middle of deciding the fate of my uncle who suffered 2 heart attcks, double pneumonia, kidney failure, and diabetes all in one shot....(not good)
docs wanted to pull the plug then he woke up...then out again
he is in fla as long as I get to see him one more time..I am happy (which is why I will nto be at ncc party)
but I rather not see him suffer anymore....and am all for pulling the plug..
this thread sucks.....why dont you just come over here and kick me in the ballz..
