Just took this from another MB..

i dont know how true this is but a friend just told me this:

A GUY HERE THAT HE WORKS WITH, HIS BROTHER IS A COP DOWN IN MIAMI. HIS BROTHER JUST CALLED THE GUY HE WORKS WITH AND TOLD HIM THAT THE YANKEES FAMOUS CLOSER MARIANO RIVERA WAS KILLED IN A CAR ACCIDENT THIS MORNING. NOW FROM WHAT HE UNDERSTAND A NEWS CONFERENCE IS SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN AROUND 12PM TODAY. ONCE AGAIN U WON'T FIND THIS ANY PLACE AS OF YET, SINCE THE FAMILY HAS TO BE NOTIFIED FIRST, BUT I TRULY HOPE THIS IS NOT A BAD RED SOX JOKE. BUT HIS BROTHER WAS NOTIFIED BY ONE OF THE DECTECTIVES DOWN IN MIAMI.

I hope so to, especially with his fathers freak accident last year. Thats too much for a family to go through. If it is, it just supports my theory from the PennyLoafer thread.
