I get to miami around 7:30pm tuesday settle in to my room , go out to eat , simmer in the jacuzzi and go to sleep ..wake up around 7ish am go to space, fire marshals are not letting ANYONE in. Puffy waiting on line was great especially when he tells the fire marshal's "Do you know who I am" and they answer," I dont care who you are NO 1 is getting in right now" Steve Lawler and a few other big willies were also stuck waiting. After a half hour or so they start letting people in and Rob Fernandez fenagles us in. We walk in and quickly NOT impressed w. the new space. Although the main room does look exitish the sound is MUCH MUCH better than the old space ..and tweaked properly to my surprise. DANNY was out of his realm .. I have never heard him play a set like that and I hear him maybe every other week at vinyl. Even Omid 16b said the same thing. Craziest moment was when a water leak appearred on the DJ equipment. He wasnt able to use one turntable anymore and was juggling bet. 2 Cd changer's and 1 table. Picture Danny holding a small bucket in 1 hand, lollypop headphone on his head and using the free hand to mix and mix FLAWLESSLY. Now i have seen it all. The patio is my biggest dissapointment w. the new club. It is bigger which takes away the warmness and the fact that its not sunken in lower and no woodwork just does not make it the PATIO. I leave space around 1:30pm and head for the beach and bring the radio and we get it started all over again. Wed. night we wanted to hit opium for the dancestar afterparty but overslept/heard it was beyond mobbed. We wake up around 2ish and hit Crobar for subliminal which everyone seemed to LOVE. I thought it was very cheesy and was not feeling the high energy noise. Thursday beach again then we went to the nightclubcity party around 7:30pm which was nice to see some people i hadnt seen yet. I was supposed to spin around 8ish or 9ish but it was shut down early. Finally went to sleep, woke up around 8am like a champ and cabbed it to Sky which was a mission. Basically all the same people i saw at ncc party and luckly eric o walked me in cause 40$ for that joint was a bit much. we had a ball nevertheless doing it up the way we do. Fri was the shelborne party which was a lotta fun. It was a mix of Neptunes meets Sobe but as usuall its who your with that makes it the most fun. We go to sleep and THANK GOD awoke around 4:30am and rushed over to MAZE to hear DJ VIBE. He is so on a another level of DJ technically and selection that he blew away his performance at Centro last week. I then go to space around 8:ish am and the patio was FINALLY rocking.. ROLAND is the fucken MAN and deserves the residency at the new club if he hasnt already gotten it. Saturday we go the the Ronny Pool and walk into what i thought was mandalay bay pool. No chairs available , same corny NY/NJers. It starts to rain and we still didnt get out of the pool(until we shit are swimsuits w. the lightning) ..then we go to sleep again wake up around 7amish and hit SPACE. Chill inisde for deep dish for a bit but soon get up the the patio where Danny Howell's is playing it up out there. I see DT who brings me in the VIP thing and basically bust a move with the likes of OMID 16b (which is a shark w. the ladies telling me how he was giving foot rubs in the booth while he was spinning the night before), Danny Howells sticking his tongue out while he was dancing away after Oscar G relieved him of duties. Deep Dish , Chus, Chaballos, and Im sure others that I dont know by face. Then I leave with my friend and go to my hotel and change her flight for a later one that day and we go BACK to space! Since it was raining I come back with a bathing suit , tank top, and water shoes! Then a mansoon occurs! Pouring rain, wind, then basically a flood on the patio. The middle of the club was seperated by a body of water. The canopy was so water logged that they took a long ass bamboo stick with a knife tied on the end of it and popped the canopy to release the water...THIS is when i had seen it all..the popped holes they were making createdwaterfalls of water all over the terrace and people started running under the water..."NOW I CAN RETIRE" after seeing that. then ohh what the hell lets throw SASHA on the tables (why not). I have never heard sasha play before and was totally blown away by him.. his mix is seemless and I couldnt ID one track. Then came on deep dish and then sasha and one of the deep dishers tag teamed every 3-4 records..we left at 4:45pm straight to the room threw everything in the luggage and cabbed it to lauderdale for a 7:45 pm flight ...all in all this was probally my BEST vacation EVER. Why? Cause I didnt follow the NY party bandwagon and I was with people that know how to have a good time and let loose instead of standing in a corner like zombies. Next stop.... IBIZA

Best review I've read on any board!! This is the only one that made me jealous I wasn't there.

You totally did it right. Why go away just to see the same damn faces you'd normally see (and are sick of) when you're on vacation!!

ps: Nice sleep patterns ;)

Fri. night at MAZE was def. the best party i went to there by far. Getting to hear Low End Specialists, Scumfrog, John Creamer and DJ Vibe all in one night for $20 was far and beyond the best value I found Scumfrog's set to be interesting ... he actually had a electronic drumpad hooked up to one of the channels on the mixer and was actually playing on them w/ drumsticks while he was spinning. Creamer's set was ok ... it was a little slow for my tastes and i think that made some sense when he finished his set and came stumbling out of the booth with a top hat on ... once again ... interesting. Then came DJ Vibe who as Michelangelo said ... is just on another level. U didnt have to be standing by the booth to be able to tell when Creamer came off and Vibe got on the decks. Me and Mike DirekT got to talk to him for a little while before he started playing ... he mostly told us how he got into music, about Portugal and the nightlife there, hat he thinks of the scene in the US and of course ... what tracks hes feeling now. His set had alot of energy in it and completely woke up what was becoming a sleepy crowd before he got on. As i expected i barely recognized any of the jams he was playing except for "Plastic Love" (which just about every dj rocked down there), Timo's mix for "Familiar Feelings" and of course ... "Ill Take You There" which he just smirked at me about when i asked him if he was gonna drop the dopest bassline in house music before his set. We also got to chill with his crew during his set who came with him from Portugal ... two guy producers, and two girls one of which was a 23 year old DJ named Mistress Sheila whom i became engaged in a conversation with and didnt stop talking to for quite some time. It was funny, cause she had lived in NY for 7 years then went home to live with her family in Portugal and began spinning there and then she said she didnt miss the pretencious people in NY, the scene here and didnt plan on coming back ... very interesting viewpoint:D

I did the wrong thing & went to alot of NY parties...
But I still had a great time...
It was just alittle to much for me...
The first 2 days I was good...
Didn't get crazy at all, till Friday came along which was JP's party...
The place was jam packed and the air condtion was busted...
So you can imagine how hot it was...
And JP had a very bad ear infection, he had to go to the hospital...But he still played, and played very well...
All I did was drink, day & night...lol
One of the bartenders at Menage says to me "I'm surprised your still standing"...lol

I didn't go hear DT @ Space because I got there pretty late Tuesday, 4:30am & I was to tired to go anywhere...
But I went to Space on Sunday as Mikey said it started pouring.
I have never seen anything like this in my life...
The place was packed, and we were all dancing in the rain like it was normal...
In the middle of the floor there was a hugh puddle but people did not care, they were still dancing like maniac's...
I didnt stay to long, because I was to tired from partying all night...But I heard it got real messy up there...lol

I stayed at the Roney Palace which was like a Convention...
I mean everyone & their mother stayed there...
Bklyn, Queens, LI, SI, NJ, Philly, Boston...
It was really crazy...

Thats it for now...

I guess that's why he slowed down with the tech and that is why alot of the youngster's say he sucks lately because he doesnt play Tech...
But i'm glad he slowed down with that junk...
You know, he goes through his fazes just like everyone else...

I gotta agree with Kriste Lee ... i def. found myself ending up at too many NY parties and i didnt feel like i went there for that, but of course, i still had fun. I kinda feel like the conference is getting more and more watered down every yr. with people not going there to hear good music at all but maybe that trend will change.
