I think sander sucks, he spun at crobar last year for my birthday party and he ruined my night. I'll never go hear him again.

i heard the line was 1500 ppl deep

The line went from the entrance running along the entire side of the parking lot and around the corner out into the street ... craziest line ive ever witnessed.

This was w/out a doubt the most overpacked WMC ever.

My fav. sets were Vibe & Calderone @ Warehouse along with Jackie Christie at Nikki Beach and Peter Bailey at the Clevelander.

Suprised!! Cause last year her blew donkey germ infested cock on the rooftop. I almost vomited literally when I heard that who was spinning. Me, Michael and Joe (rave) were like.. whoever this DJ is right now is fuckin the worst DJ in the world... and then some idiot MC came on the mic and said.. "yea, sander klienberg ripping shit up right now... wooo"

we all looked at eachother and basically didnt know what the fuck to say... lol

thats odd.. cause i was with u guys and having a great time... his style is perfect for space terrace. You gotta keep that in mind... its sunrise sessions with chill, downtempo beats... not the time for 5am Sneakers in the Dryer 150bpm madness...

I think sander sucks, he spun at crobar last year for my birthday party and he ruined my night. I'll never go hear him again.honestly, he's really inconsistent. i've heard him where he WOWed me, and then i've heard him where he just blows. It's not that he's bad, he just plays vastly different styles at certain times. when he gets all electro, breakbeat, and ultratrancey, i get really annoyed. i heard him twice at crobar last year. i know the time you're talking about was the 2nd time i went, ughh i was miserable too.

We were having a blast cause Joe was abusing EVERYone and we were doing bad things right out in the open when security was supposed to be mad tight. Also, I appreciate all kinda of music. (Esp... I do classic trance shows ect, I go out and hear other DJ's like Morillo, boris) I dont think he played good AT ALL last year! He dropped the same stupid "this is not miami" track like 3 fuckin times which was gay as all ass.

I like Sander's mix of SO Strong. That's about it. I heard him spin a couple times at Crobar, and was thoroughly unimpressed both times. Wasn't feeling his crowd much, either. The SO Strong remix is dope, though :buck

Sander on the terrace was by far the best set for me. He was relentless. Some of the most intelligent music I heard all conference. Blew my mind completely and I didn’t stop dancing. Nothing I heard all week could even come close!
Got there at about 7 and left when he closed. His terrace appearance was my most anticipated event and I was not disappointed.
Don’t let this mans performances at other venues deter you from checking him out on the terrace, he’s a whole other animal up there.

Sander is a completely different DJ in certain situations like the terrace or a small venue. he's so much better than when he plays proggy/trancey in big rooms. Sander at the Tribal Sessions party at BED 3-4 years ago was one of the best sets I've ever heard.

Yoshitoshi was OFF THE HOOK. I got in around 430-5. Sharam was playing some unreal shit. I was shocked that it wasn't Ali. Then I went to the terrace and Fanciulli tore it up. Pete Tong came on and fucked up every single mix he tried, but played some good tracks. Danny Howells came on at like 9 but I only lasted 2 records before I left. I could've seriously passed out (not from drugs or alcohol or anything. just exhaustion)

:bsflag ALL I know is that i heard Sander 3 weeks before the conference on the terrace at space.. And he fuckin BLEWWWWWWW... Played more then one song three or four songs times.. Especially Bang Bang...Too many times for one set!...I had thought he might of been fuct up or testin the system because i always here people rave about him so.. i gave him the benefit of the doubt ..But in all truth he didnt impress me at all ............Not to jump on the "hate sander ban-wagon" but he dont do nuthin special for me and im frankly surprised that he takes precedence over all the talent that was in attendance at the WMC.. In fact i find it hard to believe..Since i heard him at the same venue on the same speakers in the same area, about a month before..So i Apologize Im not buyin your review of him...Or believing he had the mack daddy set u say he did....But i hope you enjoyed yourself at the wmc..cheers! :buck

AMEN to that. Sander also played "Oscar G Live at Space" for about 3-4 songs pills/lose myself/ solid textures ( it think those were the tracks ) with the fog horn and all like it was his own. ...............felt cheated out of the $60 Then the dj after him Roland banged up almost every track he played.

I'll give Sader another shot but it still blows my mind that he played Oscar G's mixed cd like it was his own mixing.

EddieT
03-30-2005, 09:45 AM
Nope.

Only thing I can think of is that something happened with the tables or the feed and they had to scramble so they threw in a cd lying around. But he definitely played Oscar G live at space cd while he himself was live at space fog horns and all mixes dropped at the exact spots so it wasnt even like he was doing it himself. I like that CD so I wasnt complaining what was coming out of the speakers and the crowd was diggin it - but I did feel cheated hearing such a prominent DJ like Sander do that. But like I said maybe there was a reason for it ........

i agree with u on Sander... but u also have to take into account the "terrace factor"

The terrace alone makes everything seem so much better... who knows, could be the sun :shuffle

oh without a doubt the "terrace factor" in full effect. i really was only commenting on sander specifically on the terrace. thats why i'm saying to not sleep on this appearance.

i would never expect to hear what i heard on the terrace or feel the vibe that was all around inside a dark club on a sander night and thats why i enjoy his terrace set so much
