like you said most of them are locally owned and adapted to the culture of the country they're in, for example McDonalds doesn't serve and red meat in India because the cow is a sacred creature. People don't realize they are in reality boycotting themselves.

Yea they are just plain idiots. They dont realize that the owners of each franchised Mcdonalds pays a fee to the corporation and it has nothing to do with sales. They are only hurting thier local business people.
