out of 1600 you'll get to keep around $900.00 give or take $50.00, like gp1 said 40-50%

depends upon ur withholdings and residence.
usually, fed & state tax are withheld, as well as dbl. but, not allll the usual payroll taxes are withheld, so it's a slightly better taxation rate than ur weekly check. ;)

They'll also take out 401(K) if you have that, on it too if it's in your paycheck

Go to payroll and claim like 9 or 10 for that particular paycheck...then go back and change it after....

i didn't bother reading most of the replies but to make it simple, basically cut it in half.
you'll get a lilttle less taken out but thats bll park enough.
i get very large bonuses at work and to see them cut in half kills me.

But I am STILL a girl! :tantrum
Bonuses aren't taxed at a higher rate than normal income, they are treated exactly like normal income. There is no special bonus tax. BUT, taxes are withheld on bonuses at a higher rate usually because the amount is annualized i.e., in the eyes of the IRS what you got in your bonus check is what you receive on a monthly/weekly basis, so employers are required to withhold taxes at a higher rate than your normal paycheck. You should get most of that back when you file your tax return.
