despite all the hype about Lebron James & Darko Milisic, i would go with Carmelo Anthony as my #1 overall (if he in fact goes, which he probably will). this kid went up against some of the most intense competition in college basketball and came out on top, with amazing performance throughout the season, throughout the tourney -- esp. in the championship. he's a proven leader. i don't know how he'll measure up defensively in the NBA but he's a solid swingman.

no way u go with anthony over lebron
are u serious? the kid have 10x as much talent and is a greattttt marketing pick as well
there ticket sales are gonna go way up with a prospect like him
anthony is maddddddd good dont get me wrong but proving u can play in college doenst mean a thing
lebron would tear up the NCAA
he is the next kobe bryant no way u can pass him up and no team will
look what happened to houston passing up jordan to take akeem
yea akeem was the man but he was no jordan
First off,
Lebron James, Im not saying he isnt good but the kids been playing against against 5'6 white kids. Thats a huge difference than playing in the NBA

Honestly it depends what team I am. Cleveland, Miami, Toronto or Denver I take Lebron. Not many 6'8 guys who can play the point he's just immensely talented. If I'm Chicago, I take Anthony, it's only one year but it's experience and the last thing Chicago needs is another teenager. I myself am a fan of the big man and would love to grab Darko. What is really great about this draft is that Detroit has Memphis' pick unless it's No.1 and could end up with one of these three guys, and then, the eastern conference is in for a whole lot of trouble.

Too much upside to resist. No GM in their right mind could pass up on LeBron knowing what kind of impact he "could" have in the league. Pre-Kobe days this would be a different story, but the talent in the NBA that has come right of HS are argueably the best players (Garnett, Kobe, McGrady).

Darko has just as much of an upside and a dominant big man can have more of an impact on a game. That's why Shaq is everyone's No.1 pick to start a team.
