Are complete idiots. Who cares if someone wants to buy turntables and spin records. Who cares how old you are or what anyone thinks. Just because you got tables when you were 16 and someone just got them at 25 doesnt mean you're a "real" dj and he's some "wanna be". Seems like some people are in this game for the wrong reason...Listen all, it aint gonna make you rich. Forget about it, especially if you're following the most recent trend. It's for the love of it. And if someone cant see that then they should sell their turntables and wait tables instead...

Just venting.

so true....

I've met a lot of DJs.... Most of them seem to love DJing, but not the music. Aren't there better ways for people who crave attention to get it? A lot of the newer guys don't even know that electronic music even existed before 1999....

I feel like when I started ('86) I was honing a "craft". Today it seems like everyone is a DJ and equipment is so cheap.

In all fairness - It's just the same as those who play an instrument because they wanna "be in a band".

my frriend is 40 got himself a pair of TT and a CD mixer.... he's certainly not looking to change his very successful career at that stage of his life, but simply for the love of music...
