the denon s5000 is nassssssty, your only choice for single cd player right now if you can learn it and take advantage of all the goodies... I only played with it at samash though. It's all about how deep into the features u plan on getting yourself into.

Well, it's obvious that by your choices that you want a CD player you can scratch on. While we see a lot of CDJ-1000s in the clubs, I think the Denon's are far superior. For one thing, it saves the song you are playing temporarily in its memory. That might be a help against someone jumping around and causing your CD to skip. Plus you can mix two tracks off the same CD with one player.

Other than that, I like how it has a rotating platter. Makes scratching more like vinyl as opposed to just a platter you rotate yourself.

If scratching is not important to you, then I would suggest getting a rack mounted CD player like the other Denons.

if you like the vinyl emulating cd mixers, then the denon 5000 is hands down the way to go.. it will definetley become the industry standard cd mixer as far as the new emulating cd mixers go.. it has many more features and options than the pioneer cd j1000, and denon has much more expeirence with cd mixer technology and imo makes a better product overall

if your looking for your typical cd mixer than the denon 2600f is the industry standard and the best out right now (with the exception of the denon 9000, which has gotten mixed reviews so far). the denon 2600f is durable the most accurate and fully loaded with features. but like john said it's all about how deep you plan on exploring into all the features..
