"Onward Christian Soldiers" (http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2003/04/15/in_touch/index_np.html) indeed. I really do hope these "Christians" do not make the delicate global situation any more delicate. Bush & Co. is making threats to Syria and Iran that carry both great potential rewards as well as great potential problems, and we do not need a whole bunch of preachers going to the Middle East thinking they are the first and the last when it comes to the big "G" word.
I'm not too fond of evangelicals of any stripe because they violate my paramount rule when it comes to religion: keep it to yourself. Though, I find many religions fascinating and enjoy learning of them and taking what I can from them, this mixture of religion and politics described in the article just shows me that those loud Christians and those loud Muslims are really just the same people. This movement toward "Christianizing" American life is a big step backward and is just a clear sign to me that many people in this country have little understanding of those documents housed in D.C.

It really bothers me the way this country has been heading due to this presidency. These ultraconservatives are using the emotions stemming from a national tragedy in order to pursue their own agendas and I think it is sickening.

What I find ironic is this all seems like a fight between fundamentalists. We're fighting Islamic fundamentalism to install Christian fundamentalism.

Go ahead and wear them, don't worry about the arms. I think most people will be too involved figuring out the "Dyke" shirt, lol. And besides, all that really matters is that you like them and if you want, they can be motivation to get bigger arms ;)
