one thing that disappoints me is seeing useless buckles and laces on boots that have a zipper on the side :booted

wouldn't u rather use the buckles tho? it's not the style that i disagree with... i :heart buckles and laces. i :heart them and i like to use them on my gear.

it depends how it looks. sometimes a buckle on a boot really cheapens the look of it

it depends how it looks. sometimes a buckle on a boot really cheapens the look of itwell if u choose to have a buckle or not is one thing, it's just cheap looking when there are buckles or laces on boots but the boot only opens through a zipper. the buckles are untouched, they are just ornaments.
