according to the Atlanta GM it was strictly a financial move and blamed it on the economics of baseball

so basically it's the Yankees fault.

Thats bullshit.....Cause look at all the other moves they made...They actually added payroll this year...But the dumbest move of the year is Florida paying hamptons contract so that he can play for the braves....

they were worried about next year when he becomes a FA. Figured they'd get something for him before he gets too expensive and defects to the Yanks.

he'll make a really good number 7 guy on that yanks rotation next year.
